NEW: U.S. Attorney James McDonald speaks moments after Luigi Mangione pleads guilty and admits to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, laying out what prosecutors describe as careful preparation leading up to the murder. "This was not a spontaneousโ€ฆ
GUILTY: Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty and acknowledged firing the shots that took Brian Thompsonโ€™s life.

Mangione pleaded guilty to two federal stalking charges connected to his calculated plan to target the UnitedHealthcare CEO in Manhattan.

He admitted that he researched the companyโ€™s investor conference, traveled to New York and used a gun component made with a 3D printer to carry out the attack.

There was NO plea deal, and Federal prosecutors say they will seek life in prison when he is sentenced on December 18.

Now his attorneys are using the federal plea to try to get his separate New York m*rder case dismissed under the stateโ€™s double-jeopardy law.

Mangioneโ€™s supporters spent nearly two years glorifying him, raising money for him and treating him like a celebrity. It's been sick to watch.

Is life in prison justice for taking a man's life in cold blood?

CAUGHT: A Kentucky woman accused of desecrating the World War II Memorial is now in custody and facing two federal felony charges.

Prosecutors allege that Melissa L. Farris spray-painted โ€œClean Hands Dirty $โ€ across the memorial and poured soap into the fountain, covering the water with foam.

She reportedly recorded the vandalism herself and shared the footage online.

Farris has been charged with depredation against property of the United States and destruction of veteransโ€™ memorials. Each offense is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Authorities had also arrested her for unlawfully camping on federal property only days before the memorial was vandalized.

This is a monument honoring 16 MILLION Americans who served during World War II and more than 400,000 who never came home.

They sacrificed everything to preserve our freedom. Their memorial should never be treated as a backdrop for vandalism and online attention.

Now Farris will have to answer for what prosecutors say she did.

There MUST be accountability.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Martin County Florida Sheriffโ€™s Deputy Mark Budensiek, who passed away just a few hours ago following a courageous battle with cancer.

Deputy Budensiek was hired under Sheriff Robert Crowder in our Corrections Department in 2011 and faithfully served the citizens of Martin County for the past 15-years.

He leaves behind his loving wife and beautiful 14-year-old daughter, who were the center of his life. Deputy Budensiek was also the cousin of our current Sheriff, John M. Budensiek.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

EXCLUSIVE: The former chief of the U.S. Border Patrol says the Biden administrationโ€™s border crisis was โ€œvery intentional.โ€

He served during the administrationโ€™s first seven months and says officials shut down conversations about criminal and terrorist threats while directing agents to process as many people into the country as possible.

As overwhelmed agents handled massive groups, he says cartels exploited the chaos to move more dangerous people and contraband across the border undetected.

Agents knew what was happening. They warned leadership. Then they were forced to watch it continue.

The former chief says personnel were left feeling as though federal procedures were facilitating human smuggling rather than stopping it.

โ€œIt was demoralizing.โ€

Every American needs to hear his firsthand account! NEVER AGAIN.

ICYMI:  A van fleeing law enforcement in Phoenix, Arizona crashed and 28 illegal aliens jumped out and scattered in every direction.

How did they even fit 28 people in one van?

This video will always be a reminder of how our government failed us allowed tens of millions of illegal aliens to flood the country.

โ€œFor as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.โ€

About 9 p.m. on August 15, 1997, Deputy Sheriff Shayne D. York and his fiancรฉe, Deputy Sheriff Jennifer Parish were getting their hair cut in a salon in Buena Park when two Los Angeles gang members, Andre Willis and Kevin Boyce, in the midst of a robbery spree, entered and conducted an armed takeover of the business.

The two suspects ordered all the patrons to the ground and then collected their wallets and identification. When they learned that Deputy York and Parish were deputy sheriffs their attitudes changed.

Boyce said, โ€œThis is for the way you treat brothers and Cripsโ€ฆ in prison.โ€ He then shot Deputy York in the back of the head and told Deputy Parish, โ€œYouโ€™re lucky you are a woman, or Iโ€™d kill you, too.โ€ Among the items Willis and Boyce stole were Deputy Parishโ€™s engagement ring. They threw Deputy Yorkโ€™s badge in the trash as they fled. The pair then traveled to Yorba Linda and robbed a Lamp Post pizza parlor a short time later. Their crime spree ended when their car was stopped by the Fullerton Police Department near midnight and they were arrested.

Deputy York was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. Despite all efforts to save him, he passed away the next day. In addition to his fiancรฉe, Deputy York, 26, was survived by his parents and his brother.

Both Deputies York and Parish were working jail assignments at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic at the time of his murder. A memorial was erected for him outside the Pitchess Detention Center โ€“ East jail where he was assigned.

In September 2000, the vicious nature of Deputy Yorkโ€™s murder earned the death penalty for Boyce. Willis received a sentence of from 160 years to life.

On August 10, 2016, a ceremony was held at Deputy Yorkโ€™s memorial outside the Pitchess Detention Center โ€“ East jail dedicating a memorial sign in his honor on the Interstate 5 Freeway exit near the Castaic jail complex. One of the speakers at the event was Deputy Yorkโ€™s father, Dan. Also in attendance were Sheriff Jim McDonnell, members of the LASD command staff and friends and family of Deputy York.
