Sheriff Eugene Brantley and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office are mourning the loss of one of our own, K9 Roy, who passed away following an unforeseen medical issue.

K9 Roy proudly served the citizens of Richmond County alongside his handler, Deputy Joseph Hawkins. Throughout his career, Roy played an important role in keeping our community safe, assisting in the seizure of significant amounts of illegal drugs and currency and helping track some of the most dangerous individuals in our community.

He was a loyal partner, a protector, and a beloved member of the Hawkins family.

K9 Roy served with courage, loyalty, and dedication. His service to Richmond County will not be forgotten.

Rest easy, Roy.

β€œI just don’t know why this had to happen to me” - said the DRUNK DRIVER who killed a bride leaving her wedding reception.

Her father’s response: β€œBecause bad things happen to good people, honey.”

EXCUSE ME?

Jamie Komoroski got drunk, drove 65 mph in a 25 mph zone and crashed into newlyweds leaving their wedding reception.

Bride Samantha Miller lost her life. Her husband and two relatives were injured.

Komoroski’s blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.261 percent, more than THREE TIMES the legal limit.

Something bad did not simply β€œhappen” to Jamie Komoroski.

She drank.

She got behind the wheel.

She drove 40 mph over the speed limit.

Then her choices destroyed a family on what should have been one of the happiest nights of their lives. But instead of telling his adult daughter the painful truth, her father reassured her that she was a GOOD person victimized by bad luck.

This was not bad luck, or fate.

It was the devastating consequence of her own reckless choices.

Komoroski eventually pleaded guilty and received a 25-year prison sentence.

When parents teach their children that consequences are merely bad things happening to them, this is the kind of entitlement they create.

MEN DO NOT BELONG WHERE WOMEN NEED PRIVACY! A women-only spa is officially asking the Supreme Court to protect the privacy of women and teenage girls.

Olympus Spa, a traditional Korean bathhouse in Washington state, has filed a petition asking the Supreme Court to hear its years-long legal battle over its women-only admission policy. Women and girls as young as 13 are required to be completely unclothed in portions of the facility.

The dispute began after a man who claims to be transgender filed a discrimination complaint over the spa’s policy limiting entry to biological women. The Washington State Human Rights Commission pressured the owners to remove their β€œbiological women” policy and affirm access regardless of gender identity.

Women and teenage girls enter this spa expecting that they will only be required to undress around other biological females. The state of Washington decided that protecting that boundary amounts to discrimination.

Olympus Spa’s Christian owners fought back, arguing that the government violated their rights to free speech, religious exercise and association. A divided Ninth Circuit rejected their case, so the owners are now asking the highest court in the country to step in.

Recognizing biological reality is not discrimination. No woman or teenage girl should be forced to expose her naked body in front of a biological male, or have to see male genitalia in a woman's space, because the government decided someone else’s validation matters more than her dignity.

Here's communist Nithya Raman celebrating 9/11 and trashing Jews with her DSA comrade Hasan Piker! Weird how nobody asks her about her ties with Beetlejuice Bob. Even Karen Bass wasn't dumb or desperate enough to pal around with this freak.

Illegal street racing and car takeovers aren’t just a nuisance...they put lives at risk.

On August 7, CSPD partnered with CSP for a targeted enforcement operation addressing illegal street racing, takeovers, and dangerous driving across Colorado Springs. The operation resulted in 30 citations and five felony arrests stemming from two separate felony eluding incidents.

The video above shows one of the felony stops from that night.

These dangerous activities put motorists, pedestrians, nearby residents, and responding officers at risk, disrupt neighborhoods and businesses, and cause property damage. CSPD continues working to disrupt these events, identify those involved, and hold offenders accountable.

If you witness illegal street racing, a takeover, or dangerous driving, don’t intervene...report it safely. Even if the event is over before officers arrive, your reports help identify patterns and direct future enforcement efforts.

Guilty Verdict. Alexandria Augustine, 25, of Echo Park, has been found guilty by a federal judge of failing to comply with federal signs and directions following a two-day bench trial stemming from anti-ICE events outside DTLA’s Roybal Federal Building last summer.

Throughout the summer of 2025, Augustine frequently protested near the building and knew exactly where the federal property line was. She had been repeatedly warned by federal officers not to enter federal property.

On July 25, protesters gathered near the building’s loading dock, and officers again issued multiple warnings. Despite being warned, Augustine ran across the street late that evening, stepped onto federal property, and opened an umbrella between officers and other protesters.

When a federal officer approached, she pushed the umbrella toward him. He grabbed it, tearing the fabric, and Augustine threw the umbrella’s frame, striking the officer. Augustine awaits sentencing.

Peaceful protesting is more than welcome, it’s constitutionally protected. Breaking the law and engaging in violence cannot be tolerated and there must be accountability.

NEW: An ex con convicted of using an AR-15 to shoot and hit a LAPD helicopter w/ two officers in it last year has been sentenced to just under 13 years in prison instead of 41 years asked for by the prosecution after the judge said the defendant had acted friendly during the trial, had a substance abuse problem, and said she had the discretion to not impose the gun enhancements the jury had found true against him.

A pregnant convenience store clerk showed Logan Michael Parker compassion after his payment was declined, using her employee discount so he could have a drink for free.

Authorities say he returned minutes later, forced her into a restroom, attacked her and threatened her life. He stole her phone and fled, but Conroe police found him within hours.

A Texas jury convicted Parker of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated s*xual assault before handing him TWO concurrent life sentences. He will not be eligible for parole for at least 30 years. But is this enough of a sentence? Should he EVER be eligible for parole? The district attorney called it β€œcalculated evil.”
