On Friday, deputies responded to a report of a critical missing elderly male diagnosed with dementia. Deputy Storm deployed K-9 Boots to begin the search. Boots immediately went to work using her training and instincts and led deputies directly to the individual.

It’s like going back in time
It was a historical location gathering, "Nearly 250 years ago, it was here at Sandy Hook that George Washington's army drove the British from New Jersey” - Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a former naval officer
“It was from this day that the last British ships of the Revolutionary War departed."
The site is also home to America’s oldest continuously lit lighthouse, which has guided maritime navigators since 1764

The San Mateo police department shared this heartwarming video out of Foster City. They say Max the dog heard the trapped ducks and insisted on pulling his owner straight towards the quacks. All eight duckies were safety rescued and released backed into the water where they were reunited with their mama duck.

BREAKING: Wayne County Sheriff Tom Ballinger confirms that a Rittman police officer was shot and killed in the line of duty Sunday night.
The suspect and two other victims are also dead.
Three other officers, including Wayne County K9 officer Vic, were injured by gunfire.
The sheriff says officers were dispatched for some sort of disturbance around 9:30 P.M.
More details will be provided as they become available.

⚖️ Happening Monday in Utah: The man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk is expected back in court for a key preliminary hearing.
Prosecutors are expected to present evidence they say links Tyler Robinson to the fatal shooting at Utah Valley University last September, including DNA evidence recovered from a rifle and other evidence outlined in charging documents.
The hearing will help determine whether there is enough evidence for the case to move forward to trial.

JOINT STATEMENT FROM THE WAYNE CO. SHERIFF'S OFFICE:
Four additional responding officers, all from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, were struck by gunfire. Two of the officers were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are in stable condition. The other two officers were treated at the scene. K9 Vick with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was also struck by gunfire and remains in critical condition.
In total, four people have died, including Sgt. Ries, 2 other victims and the suspect.
