From the rubble of La Guaira to recognition — the search and rescue dogs of the LACoFD Urban Search & Rescue Task Force (USA-2) were honored for their tireless work following Venezuela’s devastating earthquakes.

These dogs worked alongside their handlers through collapsed structures and dangerous debris, searching for survivors when hope was running thin.

Recognition like this reminds us that disaster response is a global effort — and sometimes the bravest first responders wear a harness instead of a badge.

NEW: President Donald J. Trump personally intervened in Folarin Balogun's World Cup red card controversy.

A source confirmed to news outlet that Trump called FIFA President Gianni Infantino to request a review of the USMNT striker's suspension.

FIFA later cleared Balogun to play against Belgium, while Belgium's soccer federation said it is exploring its options following the decision.

At least eight people, including four children, were injured in a shooting in Coney Island, New York, on the Fourth of July, police said.

Four children, aged 6, 7, 12 and 14, were shot.
According to the preliminary investigation, the NYPD said, a family was having a barbecue in a courtyard when an unknown man dressed in black approached the fence line and fired multiple rounds before running away.

Looks like someone was checking out the neighborhood after the Fourth of July festivities. Please remember to give wildlife plenty of space, never approach or feed a bear, and report any sightings to the Sheriff’s Office if needed.

The man who wants to live forever may have hit a speed bump.

A fan of telling all about his longevity journey, biohacker Bryan Johnson recently shared on social media that he has an incurable autoimmune disease where his “stomach is eating itself.”

And true to his biohacking ways, the 48-year-old wrote that he would “try and solve [the condition],” which he says only 2 to 5% of people have.

While his current health routine involves optimizing everything from sleep to fertility, this wasn’t always the case, as Johnson shared he regularly ate fast food and sugary beverages as a kid.

Then, after years of struggling with stress, weight gain and chronic depression, his body began developing an autoimmune process that affected his thyroid and stomach lining — autoimmune gastritis (AIG.)

And the outlook is grim, with the tech mogul writing that “standard medical care concedes defeat, stating that nothing can be done except managing the condition.”

NEW: Paul Pelosi is back under scrutiny after another crash in Napa County.

Authorities say the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi struck another vehicle, left the scene, and later told deputies he knew he had hit "something" but kept driving until his Porsche became disabled.
The incident comes about four years after Paul Pelosi's DUI conviction stemming from a separate crash in the same area.

The latest investigation remains ongoing.
