The sun is setting on the Lineage warehouse fire in Boyle Heights, LA for the 7th straight night, as 85 million lbs of food smolders and decomposes - blanketing the area in pungent white haze. LAFD is continuing to make steady progress.

BREAKING: The big Oil Companies are not dropping their price at the pump commensurate with the sharply lower prices they are paying for Oil. Those prices are dropping like a rock! In other words, customers are being βgouged.β I have instructed the DOJ to immediately start looking into this. Gasoline prices better start going down a lot faster than what Iβm seeing! Grand Rapids, Michigan β June 23, 2026 β The Grand Rapids Police Department issued a public statement addressing a video showing a use of force during a traffic stop that is circulating online.
βGRPD would like to address a video showing a use of force that is circulating online. As with so many videos of this type, everything that happened before the clip and everything that happened after are not shown, so viewers do not have the full context of the interaction,β the department stated. βDuring this traffic stop, the front seat passenger, an adult male, was not wearing a seatbelt, which is a legal and valid reason to ask for ID. The passenger refused. After multiple refusals, the passenger was ordered out of the car, which was again met with refusal and resistance. After several refusals to exit the vehicle and to identify himself, officers advised the passenger that he was under arrest and performed a trained extraction technique. The passenger continued to resist, bracing his feet against the floor and his hands against the ceiling of the vehicle. He continued to actively resist, bracing himself in the vehicle with his legs and pushing at officersβ hands as they attempted to extract him from the vehicle. Ultimately a palm heel strike was used, which caused the passenger to release the pressure holding him inside the vehicle. The force with which his body exited the vehicle injured an officer, who suffered a broken leg and potential ligament damage. The passenger was medically cleared before being lodged at KCCF. He has since been charged.β
Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for the officer's recoveryππ»

Good to see that Deputy Samuelson continues to make strides in his recovery, but he still has a long road ahead.
In an update posted Friday, Deputy Jon Samuelson underwent testing on his left arm.
Doctors believe a cluster of nerves were damaged from the shockwave from one of the bullets, and they are hopeful the nerves will recover over time.
Samuelson has been working extra hard in physical therapy, which has been focusing on getting his core strength back and motor skills in his hands.
He is reportedly still keeping up a positive attitude and has made many friends in group therapy sessions.

βKnow ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:β
