Please, praying for the Atlantic City Police officers who were shot in the line of duty this afternoon.🙏🏻

Two Atlantic City New Jersey police officers were shot and a suspect was killed on this afternoon, during an officer-involved shooting.

The officers were actively executing a search warrant at the time of the incident.

Reports of the active gunfire began coming in around  3:30

The shooting took place at a residence along the 100 block of North Florida Avenue in Atlantic City.

Two officers were shot and transported to the hospital in stable condition. The suspect was also shot and is dead.

DEVELOPING: Evacuations are underway and streets are closed in downtown Bakersfield due to a hostage situation with a bomb threat at Chase Bank.

Bakersfield CA Police Department on scene at the Chase Bank Building on Chester Avenue and 17th Street for a confirmed bomb threat.

Please stay out of the downtown area. Road closures are in effect and will remain in effect until further notice.

FBI Sacramento is aware of the crisis in progress near the corner of 17th Street and Chester Ave. in Bakersfield, California, and are sending resources to assist Bakersfield PD.

⚠️Community Advisory⚠️

Central Division Patrol Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle traffic violation in DTLA.  A license plate check revealed the vehicle was stolen.  Officers attempted to safely stop the vehicle when the driver of the vehicle failed to yield.  A vehicle pursuit was initiated which was scene on several local media channels ending in a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT).  Driver was subsequently detained without further incident. There are no reported injuries to the public or officers.

-Suspect claims the device has a 15-20 feet “kill radius”.

The first results of the Los Angeles mayoral race are in, as polls closed at 8 p.m. With 46 percent of the expected vote counted, incumbent L.A. Mayor Karen Bass is leading the pack at 37%, followed by Spencer Pratt at 30% and Nithya Raman at 20%.
