Some good news this morning.

The Fort Smith Police Department said Officer Kyle Newman, who was shot in the neck by a suspect on Sunday May 17, has been moved out of the ICU to a separate rehabilitation facility.

"His transfer out of ICU reflects the progress he has made and the confidence of his medical team as he enters this next phase of care," a news release stated.

The news release expressed gratitude for prayers, encouragement, and support from the community.

POTUS on Iran: "That'll be a very big success... We've essentially defeated the military. We'll see what happens. We’re working on a deal, and if that happens, fine — and if it doesn't happen, that's ok too, we'll do it the other way."

"I think this will resolve itself fairly quickly."

NEW: Two Chicago police officers were hurt in a crash on the city's Southwest Side, according to CPD.

The crash happened at about 5:25 a.m. at 31st Street and Halsted Street in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
CPD said the officers had their emergency lights on as they were heading northbound when they crashed with the pickup truck.
According to police, the pickup truck was heading eastbound.
Both CPD officers were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
