Watching the CA Gubernatorial debate on CNN. Former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa just claimed that sanctuary policies don’t protect violent criminals.
Not sure the family of Johnny Sanchez would agree with that. He was murdered by two illegal aliens in Inglewood last year after he interfered with them while they were stealing the catalytic converter from his neighbor’s vehicle. Video shows them gunning him down for being a Good Samaritan.
Both had more than a dozen prior arrests in LA County, including multiple felonies, and one had 12 prior ICE detainers ignored due to SB54, California’s sanctuary state law.

NEW: A police officer suffered moderate injuries from a Tuesday morning collision in north Lubbock, Texas.
Police officials said the unidentified officer was traveling about 9:30 a.m. through the intersection of Interstate 27 and Erskine when he was struck by another motorist.

The other driver did not report any injuries at the time, officials said.
