NEW: $1.8M stolen from armored truck in Philadelphia, getaway vehicle found, police sources say.

Two armed men stole $1.8 million from a Brinks armored truck in Philadelphia’s Tacony section on Tuesday morning, police sources told Action News. The robbery occurred around 9:45 a.m. in the 7200 block of Torresdale Avenue, where the suspects allegedly used rifles during the heist.

Authorities say the suspects fled in a blue getaway vehicle, which was later found near Front Street and Fairmount Avenue in Northern Liberties. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made as the FBI now leads the investigation into the robbery in the busy business district.
