Praying for the Tuscaloosa Police officer who was injured in the line of duty last night.🙏🏻

Alabama: A Tuscaloosa Police Department motorcycle officer was injured in a collision with a vehicle Saturday evening.

TPD confirms the collision occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. at 13th Street and 10th Avenue while the motorcycle officer was working escort detail.

While few details about the crash are available at this time, TPD said the officer suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

TPD also said bystanders that were nurses provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived and the officer was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Colorado State Patrol trooper injured in crash in La Plata County.

The Colorado State Patrol says one of its troopers suffered minor injuries after a vehicle blew through a stop sign and struck her on Saturday afternoon.

According to CSP, the trooper was traveling on Highway 172 through the intersection of La Plata County Road 311 around 3:14 p.m. when a blue Dodge sedan failed to stop at a stop sign. They said the sedan struck the left-rear side of her patrol vehicle, which then collided with a white Dodge truck before traveling off the south shoulder of the highway.

CSP said the drivers of the sedan and the truck were not injured in the crash, and there were no passengers in either vehicle. Troopers suspect the 50-year-old Durango man driving the sedan of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and placed him under arrest.

The injured trooper was taken to an area medical facility for treatment of minor injuries. She has since been released. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for her recovery🙏🏻

BREAKING: Today, an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our Naval Blockade, and it did not go well for them. The U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS SPRUANCE intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop. The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engineroom. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel. ⚠️Emergency Road Closure Update – I-40 / Newberry Springs Area 🚧

Interstate 40 near Newberry Springs is currently closed due to a major semi-truck fire.

The alternate detour route via National Trails Highway is not fully closed, but traffic is being flagged through a single lane in both directions due to roadway failure and significant hazards in the area.

San Bernardino County Public Works crews are on scene actively assessing damage and making emergency repairs to safely reopen access as soon as possible.

⚠️ Please avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes. Expect delays and follow all posted signage and directions from emergency personnel.

U.S. forces operating in the Arabian Sea enforced naval blockade measures against an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port, April 19.

Guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) intercepted M/V Touska as it transited the north Arabian Sea at 17 knots enroute to Bandar Abbas, Iran. American forces issued multiple warnings and informed the Iranian-flagged vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.

After Touska’s crew failed to comply with repeated warnings over a six-hour period, Spruance directed the vessel to evacuate its engine room. Spruance disabled Touska’s propulsion by firing several rounds from the destroyer’s 5-inch MK 45 Gun into Touska’s engine room. U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit later boarded the non-compliant vessel, which remains in U.S. custody.

BREAKING: Two U.S. officials and two Mexican officials have died in "a car accident" in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua while supporting local authorities in efforts to combat cartel operations, the U.S. embassy and state authorities said Sunday.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two U.S. Embassy personnel, the Director of Chihuahua’s State Investigation Agency (AEI), and an AEI officer in this accident.  We honor their dedication and tireless efforts to confront one of the greatest challenges of our time.  Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved ones.
