Today I had the opportunity to speak with the 2nd District Youth Council about the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, who we are, the many divisions that make up our organization, and the impact law enforcement has in keeping our communities safe.

These young leaders didn’t just hear about what we do, they experienced it firsthand. From our Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) and Dive Team, to our K9 units and Aviation Division, they had the chance to see the tools, equipment, and people behind the mission.

Investing in our youth and giving them a closer look at the diverse opportunities within law enforcement is important. I hope today sparked an interest in service and leadership, and maybe even inspired a future career in public safety.

Hawai'i: Some of the farms in Waialua are under water again this morning.

"It’s a heartbreaking sight to see this happening again and we have more rain on the way tomorrow. While the community has been super resilient, it’s time for the City and State to prioritize real drainage infrastructure and stream maintenance for the North Shore or this is going to happen over and over again!"

The mainstream media has called me a conspiracist, anti-vaccer, and  right-wing extremist. How do I win 60-40 in a blue county?

Even Democrats want safe streets, honesty, and leadership.

I'll give them that in Nov. The far-left is the greatest recruiter the CAGOP has.

While backing some of the strictest gun control policies, Chicago officials continue to have heavily armed security teams for personal protection. One might call that a double standard, right?

Whether it’s apprehending wanted fugitives or lending a hand to our smallest residents, our officers are here to serve.

This afternoon, Officers Drake and Schmid responded to Providence Marketplace after concerned citizens reported a mother duck in distress. Her ducklings had fallen into a storm drain, and she wasn’t leaving without them. With community teamwork and care, the officers and citizens safely rescued each duckling. Animal Control then reunited the family and relocated them to a safer environment.

We are grateful for a community that looks out for one another, including our wildlife. It is just another example of how, together, we keep Mt. Juliet a safe and caring place to call home.
