NEW: Two U.S Destroyers are in the Hormuz Strait clearing any mines and establishing a safe passage for ships.

"U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces began setting conditions for clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, April 11, as two U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers conducted operations.

USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG 121) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) transited the Strait of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure the strait is fully clear of sea mines previously laid by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps."

Injured Springfield Township Ohio police officer thrown from semi truck searches for the woman who prayed for him.

We're following through after a frightening incident, caught on body camera nearly six weeks ago, talking with a Springfield Township officer who told us about what happened, his recovery, and the search for a mystery woman who prayed for him after he was injured.

Officer Harold Britt, who served as Uniontown's police chief for seven years, told News 5 that he was pushed off a moving semi during an encounter with a trucker outside a Springfield Township Walmart on Feb. 28.

The trucker, Jeffrey Latson, was later shot by other police officers in Akron.

Every dog has its day, and today is Therapy Dog Appreciation Day!

Did you know the Los Angeles County has dedicated therapy dogs? Yes! We have canines that are trained to provide mental health support, comfort, and a morale boost to first responders and staff across LA County in the most paws-itive way! 🐾

Our therapy dogs are trained to work in high stress environments like critical incidents and wildfires. This program started in 2023 with our superstar Willow Brook partnering with Blue Line Dogs to train. Our therapy dog program now has eight fully trained dogs, and several more in training!

The therapy dog program has been recognized by the LA County Board of Supervisors for providing critical support to our front line. In addition to boosting our morale, our therapy dogs also participate in public events like the Pasadena Rose Parade. Our therapy dogs are definitely something to bark about! 🐶🦴

Praying for the Highland County sheriff's deputy who was seriously injured in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

Ohio: A Highland County sheriff's deputy and a 21-year-old man were seriously injured overnight in a head-on crash in Highland County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 12:09 a.m. Saturday on US-62 near Surber Lane in Liberty Township.

They found that a 21-year-old man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on US-62, while a 70-year-old Highland County sheriff's deputy was driving a cruiser southbound on US-62. The 21-year-old drove left of center and struck the cruiser head-on, troopers said.

Both the 21-year-old and the deputy were transported to Highland District Hospital with serious injuries, according to troopers. They did not give their current conditions.

Happening Now: The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is responding to a wildfire Saturday in West Deptford Township, Gloucester County.

According to the Gloucester County Emergency Management, multiple resources have been deployed to the scene in West Deptford to fight the fire and protect structures. Smoke plumes and fallen ash were reported as far south and east as Glassboro and Washington Township. Those with health or breathing problems were urged to stay indoors or shut windows.

A Dickson County Tennessee school resource officer was injured in a crash Friday morning, according to the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Deputy Gregory Dearborn, a school resource officer at Vanleer Elementary School, suffered minor injuries but is expected to recover.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:13 a.m. on Highway 47 near Sherman Road.

Investigators said Dearborn was driving a Dickson County Sheriff’s Office Ford Explorer when it was rear-ended by another vehicle while both were traveling north. Both drivers were injured in the crash. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recovery🙏🏻
