It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the 8th Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

I want to thank President Trump for entrusting me to lead the department leading the fight to Make America Safe Again. In one year, the patriots at DHS delivered the MOST secure border in American history, 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S., located 145,000 unaccompanied children, delivered disaster relief at a 100% faster rate, ushered in the golden age of travel, saved the American taxpayer $13 billion, and revitalized the U.S. Coast Guard.

As Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, I will build on the years of national security expertise I forged during my time as Secretary of Homeland Security, Governor of South Dakota, and Congresswoman on the House Armed Services Committee.

Secretary Kristi Noem

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! πŸ’™

WATCH: On March 3, SFPD and CHP teamed up to track down and arrest 3 burglary suspects who fled to the East Bay.

A clear example of how teamwork and technology lead to results.

Today, I joined the San Bernardino County Police Chiefs and law enforcement leaders from across the Inland Empire in Sacramento to meet with members of our legislative delegation and advocate with a united voice for public safety.

Together, we discussed the implementation and long-term impact of Proposition 36, the need for sustainable funding opportunities for local law enforcement, and policy solutions to increase accountability for repeat offenders who continue to impact our communities.

When law enforcement speaks with one voice, it reinforces the importance of ensuring our agencies have the tools, resources, and support necessary to protect the people we serve.

Thank you to Sen Susan Rubio, Sen Strickland, Sen Umberg, Asm Rodriguez, Asm Jeff Gonzalez, and Asm Harabedian, for taking the time to meet and engage in thoughtful, productive conversations.

I am grateful for President Trump’s trust in me to lead the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. It’s an honor to serve.

As DHS Secretary, I’m committed to safeguarding the American people and protecting the homeland. I’ll fight for your family just as I’ll fight for mine.

I look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with the 260,000 outstanding DHS employees and their families to keep our nation safe.

My first priority is to end the partisan fighting and reopen the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a matter of national security.

Let’s get to work. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Democrats refuse to pass the SAVE America Act or share voter rolls with Harmeet Dhillon because they are terrified of what gets exposed.

Overstaying a 2019 removal and resisting federal agents is illegal.

End the filibuster and pass SAVE America.

Incredible March heat in the Southwest. Phoenix has only hit 100F one time during the month of March. Through the 23rd, PHX has had 6 days of 100F + heat and could see another 3 more days through the rest of the week. Remarkable!

CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER STOPPED FROM REENTERING U.S. STREETS!

A Mexican national previously convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor was turned over to USBP after finishing his prison sentence. Instead of being released back into the community, an immigration detainer was honored, and he is now pending prosecution for felony illegal reentryβ€”then deportation.

Cooperation between federal, state, and local law enforcement partners keeps our streets safer.
