A Florida grandmother will likely face murder charges for deliberately killing her grandson on Sunday. Joel Parks, 30, was found dead by his sister around noon on Sunday in the 5100 block of Riverfront Drive Bradenton, Florida apartment of his 87-year-old grandmother, Lillian Parks, who served as the disabled man's part-time caretaker. Bradenton officers who responded to the scene said Lillian told them she purposely 'overdosed' her grandson because she believes she is going to die soon and fears no one will be there to take care of him. Authorities said Joel was unable to care for himself, but declined to reveal the nature of his debilitating condition.

Dallas police have released footage from a doorbell camera that captured the moment former Texas Tech basketball star Andre Emmett was held up at gunpoint before his murder on Monday morning. The shooting itself was not caught on camera, but in the moments before Emmett is gunned down off screen, the 37-year-old is seen running from his car and down the street with two assailants in pursuit. A passerby called 911 after seeing Emmett several-hundred feet from his home. Emmett was ultimately transported to a hospital, where he died.

Shocking video shared on Chinese social media shows a Brooklyn family get bound up by a home burglar who was pretending to be a FedEx employee. Footage first posted on WeChat and shared on Reddit shows the brazen thief and an accomplice rob the home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bay Ridge on Monday. A spokesman with the New York Police Department told @police_frequency in the Telegramthat the burglars managed to steal $40,000 in cash and another $80,000 in jewelry. The spokesperson with the #NYPD described the victims as being a 35-year-old woman, a 75-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man. Police said that the suspects ransacked a bedroom in the house in an effort to find the safe. Police stated that the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. They took the safe with them, authorities stated. Suspects are believed to be Hispanic and no one was injured during the robbery. #NY
Minnesota police seized some 77,000 illegal THC vape cartridges, officials announced on Tuesday. US health officials suspect that vitamin E acetate found in many bootleg, THC-laced e-liquids may be to blame for many of the 530 cases of severe lung damage linked to vaping. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have stopped short of warning against all vaping, it is urging Americans not to buy or use bootleg products and cautioned it expects 'hundreds more' vaping-linked illnesses. Department of Public Safety officials said that the seizure is the largest of its kind in the state to-date, and estimated the value of the counterfeit goods at $3.8 million. 'To say the least, the investigators who led this investigation were surprised at the quantity, said New Hope, Minnesota Police Chief, Tim Fournier.

A 13-year-old California boy has died, just a week after he was sucker-punched in the head by bullies at his school. The child, identified only by his first name Diego, was pronounced clinically dead on Tuesday night as a result of the devastating injuries he sustained when he was attacked by peers on September 16. Cellphone video of that harrowing fight at Landmark Middle School in Moreno Valley shows two students viciously attacking Diego. Diego was hit by one student in the face then punched in the side of the head by another. In the impact Diego fell backwards and hit his head against a concrete pillar.

A Texas death-row inmate who claims he is intellectually disabled is set to be executed on Wednesday evening for killing his wife and two stepsons. Robert Sparks, 45, will receive the lethal injection at Huntsville State Penitentiary for the fatal stabbings he committed in September 2007 inside his family home in Dallas. Prosecutors alleged that Sparks killed his wife Chare Agnew, 30, as she lay in her bed by stabbing her 18 times before he continued his murderous spree. He then went into the bedroom of Harold Sublet, 9, and Raekwon Agnew, 10, ' bedroom and separately took them into the kitchen where he killed them too. Raekwon was stabbed at least 45 times by Sparks. He then raped his stepdaughters - then aged 12 and 14 - after the murders. ☠️
