A chaotic scene outside of a popular bar in Redlands, California, left four people hospitalized after a driver crashed into a crowd early Sunday morning, leading to gunfire.

According to the Redlands Police Department, an altercation involving several people took place in front of The Underground, a popular restaurant and bar, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

As of Monday morning, no arrests have been announced. No additional details were immediately made available.

UPDATE: Officials have identified the Christian County deputy killed as Deputy Gabriel Ramirez. He was 30 years old.

Sheriff Cole said that law enforcement recovered Bird’s pickup truck in Reeds Spring, Missouri. They say that Bird is believed to have left the vehicle and fled into the woods.

Sheriff Cole says around 100 officers, deputies, and state troopers are assisting in the manhunt.

Officials say if you see Bird, do not approach him and call 911 immediately. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri has now identified the deputy shot and killed during a traffic stop.

Deputy Ramirez is a military veteran and had joined the sheriff’s office in July of 2025, he was 30 years old.

Just last July, he was proudly welcomed into the Christian County Sheriff’s family, standing shoulder to shoulder with Brad Cole, committed to serving and protecting this community. Recently, many across the country saw his professionalism and character on On Patrol Live, where he represented his department and his community with honor.

BREAKING: Federal and local authorities have arrested the suspect accused of attempting to carry out an arson terror attack on the DHS/ICE office in Idaho.

Sarah Elizabeth George, 43, of Boise, allegedly staged gas cans, stole an ambulance, and intentionally crashed through the Portico Building.

George was taken into custody on federal felony charges including malicious destruction of government property by fire, with additional charges pending.

WATCH: Bernalillo County Sheriff Allen shares a statement with our community and honors our fallen sergeant who was killed in the line of duty last night.

On the evening of February 23, 2026, just before 5:00 p.m., Sergeant Schlattman called over the radio to advise he was conducting a traffic stop. While he was outside the vehicle, a semi truck struck the rear of his department issued vehicle, ultimately pinning him beneath. Sergeant Schlattman died on scene as a result of his injuries.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is devastated to announce the line of duty death of Sergeant Michael Schlattman, who died  last night as a result of injuries sustained during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 eastbound near the 170.

Sergeant Schlattman was hired by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office on April 16, 2012, and was promoted to Sergeant on July 13, 2024. During his career, he served the people of Bernalillo County in multiple assignments, including time as a detective in Special Investigations and Auto Theft, and as a task force officer with the United States Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration. At the time of his death, Sergeant Schlattman was assigned as a Sergeant in the East Mountains.

This is a heartbreaking loss for the Schlattman family, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and the entire community we serve.

Sergeant Schlattman was the kind of leader deputies hope for and families trust. He was known for being present, involved, and relentless in his support of others. He was not a supervisor who stayed behind a desk. He was consistently out in the field, finding the work, backing his deputies, answering calls for service, and pushing to be proactive. He was the steady voice and the steady presence that made everyone around him better.
