Since I have been on the ground here in Minnesota, I have had the opportunity to assess progress of the surge operation, as well as conduct extensive federal, state, local, and community stakeholder outreach to hear their perspectives, obtain better cooperation, and deescalate the intense, unlawful, and dangerous situation that had unfolded here.
Today, I was pleased to announce that,
βICEβs target list has been significantly reduced, and many public safety threats have been removed from local communities,
βWe have obtained an unprecedented level of coordination with counties to notify us before releasing a criminal alien from jail and allowing ICE to assume custody in the safety and security of a jail setting,
βUnlawful agitator activity has notably decreased, and
βState and local law enforcement has stepped up to shut down unlawful actions committed by agitators.
The far left and extreme, organized agitator groups can try to spin this however they want, but these are the facts.
Given the success we have achieved here, I announced earlier that I had proposedβand the President concurred withβconcluding this surge operation.
Our officers/agents deployed here will continue immigration enforcement actions in other locations across the country to deliver on the Presidentβs goals to maintain border security and conduct mass deportations.
I want to thank the dedicated, talented men and women of ICE and CBP who have worked tirelessly during this surge operation to enforce federal immigration laws and remove public safety threats from the streets of Minnesota. Minnesota communities are safer as a result.
Thank you, President Trump, for your ongoing leadership and commitment to ensuring law and order, public safety, and prosperity for American communities. As I have said before, when it comes to border security and immigration enforcement, no President has delivered more, or has done it better, than President Trump. πΊπΈ

The police chief of a small village in Stanly County is to thank for ending a multi-county chase that started in Charlotte.
Misenheimer Police Chief Markus Lambert deployed spike strips to pop the suspect's tires.
Lambert is one of 5 people on the Misenheimer police force.
The suspect in this chase was Darryl Joseph Jr. Court documents say he is accused of beating a woman in a parking lot in the Belmont neighborhood. When CMPD responded and called out Joseph for having a gun in the front passenger seat, court documents say he took off.
Joseph faced Judge Nathaniel Knust today in Cabarrus County. Knust ordered him held without bond. He has an extensive criminal history.

COP'S HAIR SET ON FIRE: The Village of Sebring Ohio Police state that a Woman was arrested After Violent attack. One police officer was injured and a man dead, according to police. Officers and EMS crews responded to a home after a 911 caller reported concerns about his wife. When first responders arrived, police say the woman was yelling at her husband to make them leave, threatening to have her dogs attack if they didnβt. A sergeant arrived to negotiate, and the woman eventually agreed to allow only EMS inside the home. Once inside, authorities say the situation escalated. According to the police report, the woman had cigarettes and a lighter near an oxygen tank and allegedly threatened to blow up the house with everyone inside if officers did not leave. Police then entered the home to detain her. Investigators say she became combative, kicking and punching officers and EMS personnel, and at one point allegedly set an officerβs hair on fire with a lighter. The flames were quickly extinguished, and the officer was not injured. During the incident, police say the womanβs husband left the room, went into a bedroom, and shot himself. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Court records show the woman is facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated arson, having weapons under disability, assault on a police officer, assault on an EMS worker, and aggravated menacing.
