A tortoise in Fullerton narrowly escaped a fire that destroyed the shed she lives in after a heat lamp fell and ignited her enclosure. 🐢

Hyeri Tom says she was away at a friend’s Super Bowl party when the fire started. “Our neighbors saw it, rushed over, and were able to put it out before it spread,” she said.

📈Job growth surged in January, adding 172,000 private-sector jobs – smashing expectations.

✅Private sector employment rose 615,000 in President Trump’s first year in office, while federal employment declined to its lowest level since 1966.

❌The labor market under Joe Biden was even weaker than we thought with job growth over Biden’s final 2 years being overstated by a whopping 1.9 million jobs.

The positive economic news continues to pour in under President Trump:

✅The Dow Jones Industrial Average surpassed the 50,000 level for the first time ever last week.

✅National median rents are now at a four-year low, declining for the sixth consecutive month.

✅Mortgage affordability has surged to a four-year high following President Trump’s bold action to make homeownership affordable again.

✅U.S. manufacturing activity expanded in January at the fastest pace since 2022, driven by growth in new orders and production.

✅Consumer sentiment is now at a six-month high.

NEW: Matthew Quinn, Deputy Director of US Secret Service, testifies about the impact a DHS shutdown would have on his 8,000 personnel.

"The next day, everyone will show up, we will continue to protect and serve, there would be no visible difference, there's no pause button on our mission, paychecks may stop but work will continue, but morale will fade as the bills come in."

Quinn went on to say that a DHS shutdown would halt the reforms the agency is trying to make in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of President Trump in PA & will undermine their momentum.

"We will feel the ripple effects...delayed contracts, diminished hiring, our efforts to train and deploy the best."

Says they are trying to plan for high profile security events this year and the 2028 Olympics.

Arizona: A person suspected of shoplifting is dead from police gunfire in Goodyear after authorities said he tried to grab an officer's firearm in a scuffle that led to the officer suffering a bullet graze.

Just after 4 p.m. on Feb. 10, officers responded to a shoplifting call near Litchfield Road and Interstate 10, according to Goodyear police spokesperson Sgt. Mayra Reeson. An officer at the scene saw someone who matched the description of the suspect and tried to detain him but a struggle ensued, Reeson said in a news release.
During the skirmish, the person reached around the officer and grabbed for the officer's firearm, Reeson said.
As the officer tried to retain control of the gun, both the officer and the suspect's hand were on the firearm when a round discharged, Reeson said. The officer regained control and created a distance with the suspect, who continued approaching and reaching for the officer's vest and firearm, Reeson said.

One officer was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening before being released. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for a full recovery🙏🏻
