The Putnam County Sheriffβs Office, Tennessee is mourning the loss of Lt. Randy Brown, a 30-year veteran of the agency described by colleagues as a pillar of professionalism and compassion.
Brown, 64, died Wednesday while undergoing a major medical operation, Sheriff Eddie Farris announced.
Brownβs career with the sheriffβs office spanned three decades, beginning in September 1996 as a corrections deputy. Over the years, he became a familiar face across the county, serving as a patrol deputy before moving into a role that many residents remember him for most: a School Resource Deputy.

Bombshell LA Times Report: Mayor Bass Directed Watering Down of Palisades Fire After-Action Report.
Mayor Karen Bass is firing back at a bombshell report in the Los Angeles Times, in which sources tell Paul Pringle and Alene Tchekmedyian, that Bass personally directed that the Palisades Fire After-Action report be "watered down," to downplay failures by the city and the Los Angeles Fire Department in combating the deadly blaze. Bass denying the reporting, calling the piece "misinformation," and hitting out at the Times' use of anonymous sources. With more on the reporting, the roadblocks in covering the fire, and how his reporting has shaken up the L.A. Mayoral race, Cher Calvin and Micah Ohlman are joined by Los Angeles Times Investigative Reporter Paul Pringle.

Suspect in custody after a short pursuit in DTLA. Sounds like dude popped off a round with police in the immediate area while coming off the freeway at the 110N and James M Wood exit. LAPD Central Division attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but he ran and tossed out his thingy with them drums along the way

Earlier today, the Trenton Police Department attempted to serve a felony warrant when the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit was requested to assist in locating the suspect. Deputy Davenport deployed K-9 RADD from the suspectβs residence to begin a track.
During the search, K-9 RADD exhibited a clear change of behavior as he entered the scent cone and ultimately located the suspect, who was lying face-down in the snow attempting to hide.
The subject was wanted on Felony Aggravated Possession of Drugs and by multiple agencies. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and without a bite.
Outstanding work by Deputy Davenport and a very GOOD BOY to K-9 RADD for another successful apprehension!

Tonight our TheJusticeDept attorneys secured yet another crucial legal victory in support of President Trumpβs immigration agenda.
The Fifth Circuit just held illegal aliens can rightfully be detained without bond - a significant blow against activist judges who have been undermining our efforts to make America safe again at every turn.
Thank you to Ben Hayes who argued this case, Brett Shumate and the DOJCivil Division.
We will continue vindicating President Trumpβs law and order agenda in courtrooms across the country. πΊπΈ
