BREAKING: The FBI conducted multiple raids around the Chicagoland area this morning targeting a drug trafficking organization.

According to a statement from authorities, multiple law enforcement agencies assisted the FBI in these activities, which took place in Villa Park as well as the Near West Side and South Side of Chicago.

Here’s the official statement from the FBI:

"This morning at approximately 6 a.m., the FBI conducted court authorized law enforcement activity alongside the Chicago Police Department and other partners related to the takedown of a drug trafficking organization. Multiple arrests and search warrants were executed on the Near West Side and South Side of Chicago as well as locations in the western suburbs."
