NEW: A person was struck by gunfire during an incident involving U.S. Border Patrol in southern Arizona Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. near milepost 15 on W. Arivaca Rd in southern Pima County. The individual was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Identity not yet released.

Louisiana: The assistant chief of the Wilson Police Department, Tyrone Kilbourne, was stabbed early Friday morning in a domestic dispute at his home.

Officials were dispatched to Tyrone Kilbourne’s home at the 10,000 block of Grant Street at 3:17 a.m., WBRZ reported.

Kilbourne, who was off duty at the time, was taken to a local hospital and believed to be in stable condition.

Yesterday morning, 1/26 at 9:00 AM, a team of professional commercial divers prepared to lower a submersible rover to scan the bed of the lake at MacArthur Park in central Los Angeles for human remains. The coalition was led by John Alle and the Santa Monica coalition.

The area has recently been plagued by persistent rumors of dozens of murder victims being disposed into the Lake. The homeless population at the park, who swear by these observations, noted that the ramp leading into the water (00:13) is often used in combination with a wheelchair to keep the corpse from floating back up.

Councilwoman Eunisses Hernandez of the area reportedly heard about the search and sent rangers out to halt the search before it was able to begin.
