A Virginia State Police trooper and police dog suffered minor injuries in a crash during a pursuit Friday morning on Interstate 495.

At approximately 3:38 a.m., the trooper spotted a vehicle on Interstate 95 northbound near Fairfax County Parkway traveling at 90 mph, Virginia State Police spokesman Matthew Demlein said in a news release.

The trooper caught up to the vehicle and the tags came back as stolen, the release said.

"The suspect vehicle then increased speed and a pursuit was initiated," Demlein said. "The pursuit continued onto Interstate 495 northbound where additional troopers joined in to assist."

The trooper, who was not the initial pursuing trooper, suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The Virginia State Police K9 suffered minor cuts and needed to be evaluated.

Warning graphic!

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Rampart Division.

On December 2, 2025, at around 11:00 a.m., an on-duty, plainclothes detective assigned to Rampart Area was stopped at a red tri-light on Olympic Boulevard at Alvarado Street. The detective was alone, driving a plain, black Dodge Charger without emergency lights.

The detective observed two males fighting in the street in front of his vehicle. The suspect, later identified as 42-year-old Johnny Valencia, chased the victim while armed with a knife and began stabbing him, causing the victim to fall to the ground. Valencia continued stabbing the victim as he was lying on the ground. The detective exited his vehicle while Valencia was still armed with the knife, and an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred.

Rampart Patrol Division uniformed officers arrived shortly thereafter and took Valencia into custody without incident. Valencia sustained a gunshot wound and was transported by fire department paramedics to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. Valencia was booked for attempted murder. The victim was also transported to a nearby hospital and treated for stab wounds he sustained during this incident. At the time of this press release, both Valencia and the victim were listed in stable condition.

A knife was recovered at the scene.

No officers or other community members were injured as a result of this incident.

BREAKING: The U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey over allegations of a conspiracy to obstruct federal immigration enforcement agents.

The Justice Department is investigating Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, both Democrats, over alleged conspiracy to impede federal immigration agents. The probe follows public statements by Walz and Frey criticizing the deployment of nearly 3,000 ICE and Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis for immigration enforcement. The officials have condemned the federal operation for causing chaos and undermining public safety. Federal authorities are examining whether their rhetoric violated 18 U.S.C. Β§ 372, a law against conspiring to obstruct federal officers. No formal charges have been announced, and neither the Justice Department nor Walz and Frey representatives have provided further comment.

Cumberland, Md. (AP) β€” Three members of the Zizians, a cultlike group linked to six deaths across the U.S., were granted permission Friday to work together in preparation for their upcoming trial on trespassing, weapons and drug charges. Jack LaSota, Michelle Zajko and Daniel Blank are among a group of young, highly intelligent computer scientists drawn together by radical beliefs about veganism, gender identity and artificial intelligence.Authorities have described LaSota, a transgender woman known as Ziz, as the apparent leader of the β€œextremist group.” Since 2022, Zizians have been tied to the death of one of their own during an attack on a California landlord, the landlord’s subsequent killing, the deaths of Zajko’s parents in Pennsylvania, and a highway shootout in Vermont that left another member and a U.S. Border Patrol agent dead.
LaSota, Zajko and Blank were arrested in February after a property owner said he found them living in box trucks on his land in Frostburg, Maryland. Zajko was charged in Vermont with lying on her application to buy the gun used to kill agent David Maland in January 2025, while LaSota faces separate federal charges of being an armed fugitive.

BREAKING: Marco Antonio Aguayo, 22, of Anaheim, is now in the Unhappiest Place on Earth.

Today, Aguayo was arrested and charged with threatening to kill VP Vance with pipe bombs last summer when the Vice President and his family visited Disneyland.

If convicted, Aguayo faces up to five years in federal prison.

A threat to kill a public official is a federal crime. First Amendment rights do not extend to threats to kill or injure others, especially our nation’s elected officials. Such conduct will not be tolerated and will not go unpunished.
