The Oxnard CA Police Department sadly announced the sudden loss of Oxnard Police Department Commander Scott Aaron.

"Commander Aaron joined the Oxnard Police Department on November 20, 2004, and served until his passing. 

Before joining the Oxnard Police Department, Scott enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving with a Security Force Company in Yorktown, Virginia. Afterwards, he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines in Twentynine Palms, California.  His law enforcement career began in 1996 with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office in Virginia, before returning to California in 2002.

Commander Aaron served in many and varied assignments, including as a Patrol Officer and Sergeant, Field Training Officer, Range Master, Traffic Officer, Beat Coordinator, Family Protection Investigator and Supervisor, Major Crimes Sergeant, Professional Standards Sergeant, and Patrol Watch Commander. He was promoted to the rank of Commander in May of 2025."

WATCH: A hot air balloon crashed into power lines in La Verkin, Utah Saturday morning with two people inside the balloon's basket.

Hurricane Fire and Rescue said the two occupents were able to get out of the basket safely after the crash, power lines were not affected, but the balloon was damaged.

BREAKING: The capital city of Alaska has been getting absolutely smoked by record setting snowfall since New Years eve.

While the final frontier is no stranger to snow, the rate in which this snowfall fell was truly unprecedented. 80+ inches has already fallen with another 1ft of additional accumulated on January 5th and additional 30 inches could come across the next week and a half as the weight of snow sinks boats in the Juneau Harbor and volunteers and crews are brought in from around the state to help with relief efforts and to help prevent more boats from sinking and causing even more oil issues into the ocean that has already been occurring.

UPDATE: Over the past week, the Trump Administration took more concrete action to eradicate the Somali fraud scandal in Minnesota, with much more still to come.

— VP announced the creation of a new Assistant Attorney General position with nationwide jurisdiction over fraud investigations and legal action.

— TheJusticeDept deployed more prosecutors to the state, doubling the number of attorneys working on fraud cases.

— USDA suspended all federal funding to Minnesota until the state takes action to verify funds are used on legitimate purposes and eligible recipients.

— USTreasury announced targeted actions, surveillance, and audits against financial institutions complicit in laundering fraudulent funds overseas, and announced rewards for whistleblowers providing information on the scandal.

— CMS announced a full audit of Minnesota’s Medicaid billing receipts and will claw back fraudulent claims from future funding.

— HHS cut off an additional $10 billion in federal funding from five Democrat-run states ripe with fraud, including Minnesota.

— DHS deployed an additional 2,000 law enforcement agents to the Twin Cities to assist with law enforcement, immigration enforcement, and fraud investigations.
