With profound sadness, we share that on December 11, 2025, our lives changed forever.
While traveling for work related to public safety and emergency warning systems, our colleagues Tom Diener, Carter Haen, and Robbie Betts were involved in a tragic highway incident in Indiana.
Tom Diener lost his life as a result of the crash. Tom was a dedicated firefighter, volunteer public servant, and business owner whose work centered on protecting communities through emergency warning systems. He proudly served as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Oshkosh Fire Department and as a Lieutenant with the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department. His loss is profound and felt deeply by his family, friends, coworkers, and the fire service communities he so faithfully served.
We hold Carter and Robbie close in our hearts as they navigate the days ahead, and we are wrapping Tomβs family and loved ones in our deepest sympathy. We ask our community to keep them all in your thoughts and to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
In the days to come, we will honor Tomβs legacy by continuing our unwavering commitment to public safety and the work he believed in.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
A donation page has been established through the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation in memory of Tom Diener and to support Carter Haen and Robbie Betts at: https://pffwcf.networkforgood.com/projects/266783-honor-tom-diener-supporting-carter-haen-robbie-betts

Rick Caruso reveals despite the Los Angeles Police Departure being at a 30 year low for officers and theyβre losing more officers than they are bringing in, Democrats cancelled the upcoming January Academy Class
This is intentional
βI just got a very worrisome call from a very senior person at LAPD letting me know that LAPD is at an all-time 30-year low of sworn personnel. Thatβs crazy when you think about it, given the growth of the population in this city over the last 30 years.
And to make it worse, there are more officers leaving LAPD than are coming in through the academy. On top of it, the LA City Council just canceled a January Academy class for budget reasons.
β This isnβt going to end well for the city of Los Angeles. People are not even reporting crimes now, property crimes, because it takes so long for an officer to get to their home or to their business.
So weβre being under reported βThis is all about mismanagement of our budget, mismanagement of the cityβ

Please, pray for the Effingham County Sheriff's deputy who was seriously injured in the line of duty last night.ππ»
Georgia: An Effingham County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) deputy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries while on duty Friday night.
While working a crash on Highway 80 near Rose Road just before 7 p.m., Cpl. Daniel Handshumaker was struck by another vehicle. The deputy remained conscious while he was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for further treatment.
Bryan Bailey, the ECSO's public information officer, said the driver was questioned on the scene and was brought to the jail with deputies afterwards. Bailey is unsure if an arrest has been made at the time of publication.
Handshumaker is expected to make a full recovery despite his severe injuries, Bailey said.

π This 'milestone' is utterly laughable and a slap in the face to every California taxpayer! Back in 2008, voters were promised a game-changing high-speed rail linking LA to SF in just 2 h 40 min, fully operational by 2020, at a total cost of only $33 billion. It was sold as a visionary project that would revolutionize travel, cut emissions, & boost the economy. Fast forward 17 years, after blowing through over $13 billion with nothing but half-built viaducts, constant delays, legal battles, & bureaucratic excuses to show for it, & the grand plan has shriveled into a pathetic segment from Palmdale to Gilroyβtwo obscure endpoints that no one actually wants to go to or from, each still a grueling 2 hour drive away from real destinations like LA or SF. And even this watered-down version might not see the light of day until 2038, while the entire pipe dream now threatens to hit $135 billion or more with no realistic completion date in sight. Let's be real: no one will ever ride this boondoggle. Flying between LA and SF is already quicker and far cheaper, driving gives you flexibility without the hassle, and we have plenty of existing options like Amtrak or buses that don't require sinking billions into a system that's obsolete before it's even built. Amid California's crushing $18 billion+ budget deficit, where we're slashing essential services and scrambling for funds, continuing to pour money into this endless black hole is fiscal insanity. It's time to admit failure, cut our losses, and redirect those resources to things that actually help peopleβlike fixing roads, improving public transit in cities, or addressing homelessness. End this scam once and for all, Gavin Newsom!
