Thousands of protesters in Hong Kong marched to the US Consulate today to drum up international support, calling on President Donald Trump to liberate the city as street fires started by demonstrators raged on. Police stood by as anti-government activists waved Stars and Stripes flags and placards appealing for help and democracy on Sunday, following another night of violence in the 14th week of unrest. The city turned to chaos over the weekend with lasers being used to confuse police who fought back with painful tear gas to disperse crowds, windows being smashed and street fires being started. Demonstrators wore masks of various world leaders, including Donald Trump, Emanuel Macron and Boris Johnson, to call on support from other countries. One protester holds a banner that reads: 'Will you stand by and let us burn?' ๐Ÿ”ฅ #HK

BREAKING NEWS! 'People are shooting each other for food and water': Bahamas Hurricane Dorian death toll will be 'staggering' with THOUSANDS still missing as bodies pile up and militias are formed to stop looting. Up to 70,000 are in need of 'life-saving assistance'โ€ฆ
About 130 people fleeing the Bahamas were forced off a ferry before it left for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sunday evening. Bahamians were left stunned and confused after initially being told they could board with just a passport and police record. But before the boat left, an announcement was made telling over 100 people without US visas that they needed to disembark. This comes just days after Florida lawmakers Marco Rubio and Rick Scott urged President Trump to waive or suspend visa requirements for Bahama citizens. Footage from inside the rescue ferry shows hoards of people - including children - exiting the ferry and left stuck on the land devastated by Hurricane Dorian. #WTF?

WARNING (21+) Full video a white Australian right-wing terrorist who livestreamed his sickening shooting spree on Facebook ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ก #shooting
The accused Christchurch mosque shooter asked police how many people he had killed after being arrested in the immediate aftermath of the March massacre. Brenton Tarrant, 28, repeatedly asked officers 'how many did I kill?' and 'how many did it get', The Australian reported. It was reported Tarrant was in a 'confused' and 'dazed' state when he was arrested, but after becoming lucid again he was only interested in the death toll. The officers did not answer his questions but is believed they added them to their statements, which will from part of the prosecution's case against Tarrant. The Australian white supremacist, 28, is currently remanded in a maximum-security jail in Auckland awaiting trial for the murder of 51 Muslim worshipers in the worst mass shooting in New Zealand's modern history.
Six illegal immigrants, who allegedly stabbed a Maryland man to death in July, have been identified as MS-13 gang members by the US and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Jonathan Escobar-Hernandez, 20, Marlon Fabian-Flores, 20, Edwin Edgardo Garcia-Martir, 18, Hugo Portillo-Chavez, 31, Jose Fausto Rivera-Coreas, 19, and 20-year-old Odaliz Rosas-Yanez were all arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Daniel Alejandro Alvarado Cuellar. Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit also said they arrested Leonel Alexander Velasquez-Hernadez (bottom row, center), 16, who has been charged as an adult, over Cuellar's murder. Cuellar's body was found in the grass near an apartment building on Loch Raven Boulevard on July 31. A motive for Cuellar's murder remains under investigation but authorities believe the victim was killed due to a war between two rival Latino street gangs, the 18th Street and MS-13.๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Brexit has dominated a meeting between Boris Johnson and Taoiseach (Irish PM) Leo Varadkar in Dublin.

It is their first face-to-face meeting since Mr Johnson became prime minister in July.

A no-deal Brexit would be a "failure" that both the British and Irish governments would be responsible for.

Boris Johnson has said. He has ruled out asking the EU to delay the Brexit deadline of 31 October - but the Irish government said it would support another extension.
Some 47,000 grocery store employees will not go on strike after two large Southern California supermarket operators reached a tentative deal with labor unions on Sunday. The Ralphs division of Kroger Co. and Albertsons, which owns Vons and Pavilions, reached the agreement to avoid a strike that would affect as many as 500 stores. Terms of the agreement have been withheld until the workers can review and vote on Monday, with the results to be announced on Thursday, according to UFCW union officials who represent about 60,000 grocery workers in Southern California. 'We believe this agreement is a step forward towards our vision of what grocery jobs should be in the future,' John Grant, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 770, told the Los Angeles Times.
