A University of Arizona Office of Public Safety Police motorcycle officer was injured in a crash near campus on Friday evening. The Tucson Police Department say the crash happened around 5 p.m. near Euclid and Speedway. Thankfully, the officer’s injuries are not life-threatening, and the other driver was not hurt.

COP KILLER SENTENCED TO DEATH:

A jury has sentenced the man who murdered City of North Kansas City Police Department, Missouri Officer Daniel Vasquez to death by execution following his capital murder trial.

The P.O.S. Killer, convicted of first-degree murder, was found guilty last week, moving the case into the sentencing phase. On Wednesday morning, after about 24 hours of deliberation, the jury from St. Charles County, Missouri unanimously voted for the death penalty. This marks the first time since 1994 that Clay County prosecutors have sought the death penalty. Dash cam footage shown in court revealed the moment the 28-year-old opened fire on Officer Vasquez during a July 19, 2022 traffic stop for expired tags, firing three times with a rifle after two misfires. Vasquez was left in the road as the suspect fled the scene.
