Schwarzenegger: Newsom's Plan is a "Scam" (The Fight Over Redistricting California)

Gavin Newsom wants California voters to temporarily eliminate its independent redistricting committee until 2031 & replace it with new maps drawn by Democrats to help Democrats. The move is in response to Texas Republicans redrawing their lines to help Republicans.

"Two wrongs don't make a right," Schwarzenegger says.

The former Governor is skeptical that California Democrats will ever want to go back to the current, nonpartisan system.

"There's no such thing with politicians and temporary. Have you ever seen a tax that stopped? It's permanent."

Schwarzenegger is urging voters to "vote no on Proposition 50."

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Man stabbed multiple times in downtown LA.

The search is on for a suspect after a homeless man was stabbed multiple times in downtown LA.

Ohio: An Olmsted Township police officer directing traffic away from the scene of a fire early Friday, Sept. 26, was hurt when a car rammed into the officer’s cruiser.

Firefighters responded just before 3:30 a.m. to a fire at a detached residential garage, according to a news release.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m., while the officer was inside the cruiser, parked on Usher Road to block the roadway.

The at-fault driver was checked out by EMS, cited and released.

The officer was transported by EMS to a hospital with minor injuries and is in stable condition, according to the release.

UPDATE:  A Santa Monica motorcycle officer was injured Thursday night in a multi-vehicle crash that happened on the northbound 405 Freeway near LA’s North Hills area.

The crash was reported shortly after 8 p.m. near Roscoe Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the officer was on his department motorcycle when he was involved in a multi-vehicle collision.

First responders found the motorcycle officer down in the carpool lane, alert and conscious.

Paramedics took the officer by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

NEW: Sources share surveillance footage with me of the Dallas ICE facility showing ICE agents taking cover and protecting detainees as bullets flew everywhere. 

Agents are seen ducking behind two transportation vans while quickly shuffling detainees inside the facility, where an ICE agent frantically guides the shackled detainees down a hallway. Officials say they hope people will see that the agents were heroic, clearly willing to risk their lives to save the detainees, rather than focus on dangerous anti-ICE rhetoric. I’ve spoken with sources who are agents at the field office and they say they’re upset, devastated, and frustrated that the public can’t see they are just doing their jobs and protecting the community.

A Santa Clarita dentist is defending herself after a viral video resurfaced showing her joking that she gives worse care to patients who aren’t Trump supporters.

Dr. Harleen Grewal, who has built her practice around her open support for former President Donald Trump, is seen in the clip laughing as she describes how some patients react to a “Wall of Fame” in her office featuring Republican leaders and Trump allies. The video was first posted on TikTok two years ago, later deleted, but has recently begun circulating again across social media.

In a statement, Grewal told Key News Network she believes the controversy is being driven by a single individual who first targeted her years ago.

“Just like the Democrats, they make jokes too. We make jokes as well. Like, why can’t we just take a joke lightheartedly? But that was taken to cancel me,” Grewal said. “And the Dental Board did an investigation. They cleared it out and said there was nothing they could find that proved any of that. And now, after a few months again, this has erupted. So I’m obviously linking it back to the same person that started it to begin with.”

She added that the video was originally posted by her own office as part of a series of short clips meant to show her personality.

“I’m a stand-up comedian for pretty much most of my patients too. We joke around. You’ve got to live life. And you’ve got to laugh. Life is too short. So enjoy it as well as you can too. So I don’t think I did anything wrong by making a joke,” she said. “Jimmy Kimmel can joke, but I can’t joke. That’s not fair.”

The video has fueled heated online debate, with critics calling her remarks inappropriate and unethical, while supporters insist she is being unfairly targeted for her politics.
