Chicago police work the crime scene where a 31-year-old woman was killed in broad daylight in a shooting in the area of 2200 S. State Street in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, on September 8, 2025. Monday morning a 31-year-old woman, was outside when she was, involved in a physical altercation with a known female suspect. The suspect then produced a firearm and shot the victim in the face. The woman was transported to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The female suspect was taken into custody.
