Georgia: The Fulton County Board of Commissioners honored Fulton County Police Cpl. Zahir Muid on Wednesday for his heroic actions that saved the life of South Fulton Police Lt. Charles Cook during a shooting in April.

Muid was recognized for his quick response in applying tourniquets to Cook’s arm after both officers were shot on Fulton Industrial Boulevard. This action was crucial in preventing Cook from bleeding to death.

Fulton County Police Chief Wade Yates praised Muid for his bravery and quick actions.

A terrifying scene unfolded at a Hollywood coffee shop Wednesday morning when a man grabbed a knife inside Bohemia Cafe on Sunset Boulevard and randomly attacked a customer, stabbing them multiple times. Witnesses quickly jumped in to help as LAPD officers rushed in and arrested the suspect moments later.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, while the attacker is now booked on attempted murder and held on $1 million bail.

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Friday to alter the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War — reverting to the agency’s former namesake, Fox News Digital has learned.
