BREAKING: U.S. Transportation Secretary Duffy announces he has canceled an addition $175 million in federal funding for Californiaβs High-Speed Rail Project.
The funds were withdrawn from the following projects associated with CA High-Speed Rail:
β’Le Grand Overcrossing Project on the Merced Extension (CHSRA; $89,645,961)
β’Southern San Jose Grade Separations (Monterey Rd) (City of San Jose; $7,500,000)
β’DTX Final Design for Track and Rail Systems Project (Transbay Joint Powers Authority; $24,655,000)
β’Madera High-Speed Rail Station Project (California Department of Transportation; $54,530,000)
This comes after the Trump Administration already canceled $4 billion in federal funds for the project.
Duffy wrote this in part: βThe waste ends here. As of today, the American people are done investing in Californiaβs failed experiment. Instead, my Department will focus on making travel great again by investing in well-managed projects that can make projects like high-speed rail a reality.β

CNN refused to show President Trump's Cabinet meeting today where he praised American workers. Maybe that's why CNN's ratings are aways in the toilet.
