While Republicans are on the rise when it comes to voter registration numbers, Democrat voter registrations are dropping by the millions.

New York: A Rome City Police Department officer was injured in the line of duty and is currently recovering, according to a statement from RPD officials.

At around 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Aug 21, officers from the Rome Police Department's Street Crimes Unit attempted to stop a man riding an electric bicycle who was allegedly violating several vehicle and traffic laws.

RPD officials say the operator, Edgard Figueroa, didn’t stop and fled the scene on foot. During the chase, a member of the Street Crimes Unit sustained injuries while attempting to apprehend Figueroa.

The injured officer was transported to Rome Health for further evaluation and is currently recovering.

The RPD did not list the name of the injured officer.

BREAKING: A jury has awarded $3.5 million to a man who sued Los Angeles County alleging he was struck and injured by a rubber bullet fired by a sheriff's deputy during a Fairfax District riots after the overdose death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020.

Cellin Gluck and his daughter, Caroline Gluck, were among thousands of  rioters present in the area on May 30, 2020. They maintained they were trying to help another protester hit by a bean bag when Cellin Gluck was hit by the projectile. His daughter alleged she suffered emotional distress from witnessing the shooting.

A Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper was seriously injured in a crash involving three vehicles in Lawrence County Friday morning.

KSP said in a release that the crash took place during a traffic stop around 11:08 a.m.

A vehicle reportedly crashed into the rear of a KSP Trooper’s vehicle, causing the Trooper’s vehicle to crash into a third vehicle that was part of the traffic stop.

The release said the Trooper sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Four people in total were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash and later released.

LAPD News:  An OIS investigation is underway in the area of Monterey Rd. and Kendall Ave.

This is preliminary info, incident still in early stages: Around 8:20pm, Hollenbeck Div. ofcrs responded to an “ADW suspect there now” radio call at a residence in the 5400 block of Monterey Rd.  The Person reporting stated the suspect threatened them and was armed with a knife.

When officers arrived at the location, they confronted the suspect, described as a male adult, armed with a knife, and an OIS occurred. The suspect was struck by gunfire and taken into custody.

Fire Department paramedics transported the suspect to a nearby hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds and is listed in stable condition. The suspect’s knife is at scene and will be booked as evidence.
