BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A man was found shot to death near MacArthur Park in Los Angeles early Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department says.

BREAKING: DOJ names and shames 35 sanctuary cities that ‘put American citizens at risk’.

The Department of Justice identified nearly three dozen cities and states across the country on Tuesday that it said were sanctuaries for illegal immigrants and warned that it planned to take legal action against more of those jurisdictions.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement the cities and states, which mostly lean blue, have immigration policies that "impede law enforcement and put American citizens at risk by design."

NEW: ICE ERO Houston has prevented another illegal alien child predator from being released back into the community. Edgar Allan Becerril, a 35-year-old criminal alien from Mexico, was transferred into ICE custody by TDCJ Aug. 4 following his release from prison.

Becerril was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child Jan. 29, 2014, in Guadelupe County, Texas. While he was in prison, ICE processed his immigration case to reduce costs for taxpayers, and he was ordered removed by an immigration judge Oct. 21, 2014.

NEW: ICE San Diego arrested Everardo Coronado, 49, a Mexican national with a conviction for the sale and distribution of narcotics. Coronado posed a clear threat to public safety and our priority continues to be removing individuals involved in drug trafficking from our communities.

Texas: This morning, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a major crash at FM-529 and Fairview involving a vehicle that flipped and caught fire with a person trapped inside.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Deputies arriving on scene were able to pull the individual from the burning vehicle. CPR was administered, but the person was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second individual was transported to a hospital for treatment.

One Deputy sustained a minor burn to the hand during the rescue effort, while several others were treated for smoke inhalation. All are expected to recover.
