DEVELOPING: Nearly two years after former California police chief Andreas Probst was killed while cycling in Las Vegas, his relatives have filed a lawsuit against Hyundai and the teenagers accused of causing his death.

In a complaint filed Thursday, Probst’s wife, Crystal Probst, and children, Michael and Taylor Probst, alleged that a defect in the 2016 Hyundai Elantra’s anti-theft system allowed Jesus Ayala and Jzamir Keys to steal the vehicle used to fatally hit Andreas Probst.

If you are in 460 or 550, you may want to evacuate right now, too, to be safe and give yourself time. An advisory was sent to Genasys Zones MAW-545 that reads: “Brush fire reported in your area mauka of Honoapiilani Hwy and near Kakaalaneo Drive in Lahaina.

No evacuation orders are in place, however be prepared to evacuate, and if you need additional time, go now. Smoke may be hazardous.” Per Genasys. These zones are viewable on the Watch Duty map and the Genasys Protect Evacuation Map.

UPDATE: Forward progress of the fire has been stopped.  Materials continue to burn and produce smoke, which is impacting the roadway.

The Gold Fire continues to rage and grow after it erupted in Holcomb Valley near Big Bear Lake on Monday around 9:30 a.m.

Video from the San Bernardino County Fire Department shows the fight on the ground against the blaze, which has reportedly burned through 348 acres as of Monday afternoon. While no structures are currently at risk, the agency says the wildfire has proved difficult to contain due to the surrounding area's inaccessibility and steep terrain.

Ohio: A man was arrested Sunday after a SWAT standoff during which he reportedly fired 41 shots at law enforcement personnel, according to Deputy Kim Peters, a spokesperson with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Peters says that deputies were called around 8:12 p.m. to the 5100 block of Kennedy Camp Road in St. Clair Township for the report of a suicidal man, 30-year-old Brandon Wilson.

The 911 caller, who is Wilson’s girlfriend, told deputies that she saw that Wilson was reportedly intoxicated and in possession of a rifle, Peters said.

Peters reports that the caller stated Wilson reportedly instructed everyone to leave the house, threatened “suicide by cop,” and indicated an intention to “take out” several deputies.

Farmington Missouri Correctional Center K-9 Helps Find Injured Teen Missing for 4 Days.

A 13-year-old boy injured in a skateboard accident survived four days without food and water before being rescued, Missouri authorities say.

The boy from Goose Creek had last been seen July 27 riding a skateboard, but he was reported missing when he did not return home, according to the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Office.
