Please, pray for the Harris County Sheriff's deputy who was injured in the line of duty tonight.🙏🏻

Texas: A deputy was injured and suspect critically injured in a shooting in northwest Harris County tonight.

Details are limited, but according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the suspect is down in critical condition. The deputy sustained minor injuries that are not believed to be caused by gunfire.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the deputy was transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition and suspect was transported via LifeFlight in critical condition.

Earlier today, we escorted Sgt. Justin Williams from the hospital to Palm Mortuary in Downtown Las Vegas. We were there for his family and we will continue to be.

We will miss you, Justin, more than words can say.

Sgt. Williams was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He was rushed into emergency surgery this morning and tragically passed away.

Thank you, Justin, for your compassion and caring for this community.

Prayers for the two Springfield Police officers who were stabbed in the line of duty this afternoon.🙏🏻

Oregon: A suspect was shot and killed by police in Springfield Wednesday after allegedly brandishing two knives at officers and attacking them, according to the Springfield Police Department.

The incident occurred at about 2:37 p.m. when Springfield police officers were called to the area of Gateway Street and Kruse Way for a person acting disorderly inside a business.

When officers got there, the suspect pulled out two knives and threatened to fight the officer, who then called for backup. The suspect then stabbed two Springfield police officers, causing "significant injuries," according to officials.

The officers were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

A drone photographer filmed some gray whales swimming near a tour boat off the coast of Orange County, in what he said was an unusual sighting for the time of year.

The unexpected sighting comes just days after a dead gray whale washed up in San Francisco Bay, prompting concern from scientists, the Marine Mammal Center said.
