UPDATE: Munson Healthcare is aware of the tragic incident that occurred earlier today at the Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this event, and we are grateful to the first responders and law enforcement for their swift action.

We can confirm that 11 victims are being treated at Munson Medical Center. As a result, our Emergency Department is currently experiencing a higher-than-usual volume of patients.

Please, pray for the Scottsboro Police officer who was shot in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

Alabama: On 07/26/2025 at approximately 12:49A.M., members of the Scottsboro Police Department responded to a domestic incident on Ruth Street in Scottsboro.

Upon arrival, the suspect fled in a vehicle and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in a crash at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 72 and County Park Road. The suspect exited the vehicle and began firing shots, striking an officer involved in the pursuit. The suspect fled on foot. At this time, a multi-agency manhunt is currently underway to attempt to locate the suspect.

The suspect has been identified as 29 year old, Daniel Victor McCarn of Huntsville. At this time, McCarn has not been located and should be considered armed and dangerous.

There will be a significant law enforcement presence around the County Park/Hwy 72 and County Park/ Scott Street area. If at all possible, avoid the area or arrange to commute around it.

The officer involved in the critical incident was injured, but the injuries are not life threatening.

Kansas City, Kansas, police chief Karl Oakman says a Wyandotte County Sheriff's deputy was struck by gunfire Saturday and taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

A Wyandotte County Sheriff’s deputy suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Kansas City.

Just after 3 p.m., KCKPD responded to assist the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office in the area of 2600 South 30th Street, as an individual was moving items out of a house.

Oakman said a man inside the house went outside and started a confrontation with the deputy.

After an exchange of gunfire, the deputy was struck. The deputy was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
