New York State Police responded to a head-on collision on State Highway 28 in Delhi at around 4 p.m. yesterday.

According to state police, a preliminary investigation determined that a driver in a pick-up truck was traveling southbound when he crossed into the other lane into oncoming traffic.

It is unknown why the driver crossed into the other lane.

The truck collided with an SVU, driven by New York State Trooper Anna Aulino. Aulino was off duty and traveling home in her personal vehicle.

Aulino sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. Her injuries appear to be non-life-threatening at this time.

The Fontana Police Department, California sadly announced the death of Officer Edward Bautista, who went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2025.

Eddie began his distinguished career with the Fontana Police Department in 2013 and proudly served the city for over a decade, spending the majority of his time as a dedicated K9 handler. His commitment to public safety and his bond with his K9 partners left a lasting impact on those he served with and the community he protected.

Eddie will be remembered not only for his professionalism and dedication, but for the warmth and positivity he brought into every room. Known for his infectious smile and uplifting attitude, he was a beloved friend, son, and coworker who made a difference in the lives of many.

Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻
