Tonight, the glow of thousands of candles lit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Ceremony beneath the cold rain and dark skies.

Despite the weather, we stood with law enforcement officers from across the nation, united and shoulder to shoulder to honor the 345 peace officers who lost their lives in 2024.

We stand to support the families they left behind. Tonight was especially memorable to the LASD family as we honor the life and Legacy of Deputy Alfredo Flores who lost his life April 20th, 2024

BREAKING: Gov. Newsom announces $12 billion budget deficit for California.
__

Californians pay the highest taxes in the country, with nothing to show for it. Our schools are some of the worst in the nation, our roads are crumbling, our water infrastructure hasn’t been updated in a half century, and our utility and energy rates keep climbing…

California’s budget shortfall isn’t President Trump’s fault, it’s the fault of Gavin Newsom and his Democratic supermajority. Their mismanagement of nearly every facet of our state government has created a cost of living crisis, turning the California dream into an unaffordable nightmare. Californians deserve better.

Two NYPD officers were injured by broken glass when an armed man refused to stop, kicking off a chase and opening fire during the pursuit.

Two police officers are in the hospital after a suspect opened fire at them from his car while trying to evade police on Staten Island Sunday night, police said.

The suspect was driving a silver Nissan SUV when cops ordered him to pull over for a traffic stop near Port Richmond and Post Aves. in Port Richmond around 7:30 p.m., police said. Instead of stopping, the 31-year-old driver attempted to flee but was headed off by another police vehicle, and shot at the officers inside before crashing into a parked car, police said.

JUST IN: An illegal alien arrested on felony charges walks free then β€” two weeks later β€” allegedly causes the death of his 6-year-old son, who was allowed to die in a parked car on a hot day.

Man in custody after young child left in hot car dies in Paso Robles.

ICE issued a detainer to deport this alien, but he was released from jail because of California’s sanctuary state laws. Had California allowed local law enforcement to honor the immigration detainer against this defendant, this child would be alive today.
