Dramatic bodycam footage captured a deputy saving the life of a newborn who was choking. Deputy William Kimbro pulled over a car for speeding in Summerville, South Carolina, on June 11. Passengers told Kimbro that they were rushing a 12-day-old baby girl named Ryleigh to the hospital who stopped breathing after drinking a bottle. The deputy started performing first aid on the infant (left and top right)โ€“ including rescue breaths and massaging her chest - until EMS arrived about five minutes later (botrrom right). Video shows Ryleigh chest moving up and down and she lets out a few cries. A spokeswoman told @police_frequency in the Telegram that the baby was taken to the hospital for observation and appears to be doing well. Kimbro was awarded the 'Life-Saving Medal' from Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

Thousands of people from the communities of Maalaea and Kihei on Maui Island have been told to evacuate after wild fires started to spread yesterday when steady winds of up to 20 mph fanned the flames. Mayor Mike Victorino said the 3,000 acre brush fire in Maui's central valley was uncontrolled Thursday night but that firefighters would monitor it over night. Water drops by air were scheduled to resume today to try and stop the fires from spreading any further, reported MauiToday. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

One of the largest icebergs in the world, A-68, is on the move and new footage compiled from satellite images tracks its more than 155 mile journey towards South Georgia. Since it calved from Antarctica's Larson C ice shelf two years ago, the iceberg has rotated 270 degrees and drifted 155 miles north, carried by the ocean current known as the Weddell Gyre. Iceberg calving is a natural phenomenon - as inland glaciers supply coastal ice shelves with new ice, older ice is pushed out to sea. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

NASA has released a stunning visualisation of all the exoplanets it has ever spotted, including those from dedicated world-hunting crafts Kepler and TESS. The first exoplanets - a world not in our own solar system but orbiting another star - was spotted in 1992 going round the pulsar PSR 1257+12. Since then NASA has found more than 4,000 - crossing the landmark figure last month. The incredible visualisation of where each exoplanet is in the night sky was made by NASA using data from System Sounds, a science outreach project. #wow

A massive landslide hit a county in south-west China yesterday, blocking roads and causing a dam to collapse. Terrifying footage of the incident in Ebian Yi Autonomous County in Sichuan province shows an enormous amount of rock and debris tumbling down a mountainside and slamming onto a road. Several people nearby are seen fleeing for their lives as trees and boulders are sent crashing into the river next to the slope. Several small huts next to the road are buried. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
