Temperatures are set to soar across the country with potentially dangerous heat in the northeast after the region recorded its first official heat wave of 2019. Three days of 90 plus degrees Fahrenheit made it an official heat wave across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. At LaGuardia Airport and in Philadelphia temperatures reached 93 degrees on Friday. Texas to Nebraska saw temperatures go into the upper 90s. In Concordia, Kansas it hit a stifling 100 degrees. ๐ฅ๐ฑ

Bodycam footage shows the moment a truck driver lunged at a police officer with a screwdriver after being handed a citation. The incident happened on Wednesday at around 10am in Tuscarawas County, Ohio on Second Street NW near TMK Farm Service. The truck driver, who has been identified as Elijah Collins III, 32, was from High Point, North Carolina. Captain Brian Dalton, 37, from Sugarcreek Ohio Police Department, began firing after Collins, who was driving a semi tractor-trailer, stabbed him in the neck with a screwdriver, according to Police Chief Kevin Kaser. ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ #shooting
