WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT! CHICO, Calif. — The Butte County District Attorney’s Office released police bodycam footage of the deadly officer-involved #shooting at the Chico Petco on Oct. 14. The final report cleared the three officers involved of any criminal wrongdoing-- they are officers Tyler Johnson, William Page and Sergeant Nick Bauer. The report also ruled that the use of deadly force was justified when police shot and killed 30-year-old Stephen Vest, who was coming towards officers with a knife after threatening multiple people during a bizarre crime spree. The newly-released bodycam footage shows a side-by-side perspective from officers Tyler Johnson and William Page before officers opened fire and killed the suspect. (Read the Full Story.)

JUST IN - Sleepy Joe ends "dark winter" address, as usual, takes no questions from reporters.
For the first time in more than a century, Virginia won’t be honoring generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson with a holiday as the state continues to shed its Confederate symbols. (#FACEPALM!) It would have been celebrated Friday. Some cities in Hampton Roads, including Norfolk, Newport News and Hampton, had opted not to commemorate the event even before a state law gave localities the option to replace Lee-Jackson Day with Election Day. The change was made by Democratic lawmakers who took control of the General Assembly last year for the first time in decades. But the new legislation didn’t automatically trickle down to cities and towns, which decide whether to follow the state’s holiday schedule or create their own. Some have decided not to give the day off to city workers. (Read more.)

Just a reminder: the Buffalo Bills never celebrated their Super Bowl losses

This is nuts - he demanded an organic diet after being arrested... and the judge is actually taking care of him. But that's not all.

There’s over 80 inmates in ICE detention centers on hunger strike. No judge is concerned bout their conditions.

WASHINGTON DC -- The head of the National Guard says at least 10,000 troops will be deployed in D.C. by Saturday, and an additional 5,000 could be requested from other states, FOX LA reported. As the Military Times reports, that figure is twice the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq combined. There are currently 6,200 Guard members in the city from D.C. and five nearby states. The increase in requests for Guard members on Monday comes as officials brace for more, possibly violent protests surrounding the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. Last week, the Guard helped erect a seven-foot non-scalable wall around the previously besieged Capitol building. They have also helped to secure the inauguration perimeter, which includes not only the Capitol, but stretches into the District as well.
The National Rifle Association on Friday filed petitions with a U.S. bankruptcy court seeking protection from creditors by restructuring, the gun rights advocacy group announced. The NRA filed the Chapter 11 petitions in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Dallas, it said in a news release. The NRA said it would restructure as a Texas nonprofit to exit what it said was a "a corrupt political and regulatory environment in New York" state, where it is currently registered. The influential group said in a statement there would be no immediate changes to its operations or workforce, and that it "will continue with the forward advancement of the enterprise – confronting anti-Second Amendment activities, promoting firearm safety and training, and advancing public programs across the United States." The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. (Read more.)

SORRY HATERS: The NRA *IS NOT* insolvent or going out of business 😉
