Tucker Carlson Tonight. Millions Voted For A Candidate Who Wasn’t Real. What’s emerging looks a lot like the HR department at a large leftwing multinational: heaps of woke authoritarian social policy, mixed with a corporatist economic agenda: the rest of us get stern lectures about our moral failings, while a small group of highly connected people gets even richer. Sound familiar? If Jeff Bezos and the Google guys took over the US government, this is what it would look like.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health were unable to provide any of their own data or evidence in support of their order to restrict outdoor dining at restaurants beginning Wednesday night. DPH announced the new restrictions in a tweet on Sunday, without first discussing it with the Board of Supervisors. DPH cited a record surge of COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles as a reason for the order. At Tuesday’s LA County Board of Supervisors meeting, DPH were pushed for answers on what data they used to issue the new restrictions. Supervisor Janice Hahn questioned L.A. Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer, who deferred to DPH’s Dr. Muntu Davis. “How many restaurants have been the site of workplace outbreaks?” Hahn asked Dr. Davis.

What a difference a year makes. Every year, the days leading up to Thanksgiving usually bring out the worst commutes of the year. But this year, as health officials advise against non-emergency travel in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, we're seeing fewer cars on the road. The marginal traffic delays during the pandemic is a major contrast to previous pre-Thanksgiving traffic, as aerial footage traditionally show severe congestion on Southern California freeways.

Sacramento police released body cam and surveillance footage of a #shooting by one of their sergeants that killed a man waving a gun at a Nov. 14 boxing event meant to curb gun violence. Police said officers initially responded to reckless driving reports near the 1600 block of Juliesse Avenue in north Sacramento before they noticed a large gathering. The bodycam footage shows a witness running toward the sergeant, telling him a man was waving a gun around. Seconds later, shots could be heard in the video when the sergeant runs towards the gunfire. It appears the sergeant then shoots a man later identified as 38-year-old Augustine Morales multiple times. The sergeant could be heard screaming, "get down to the ground." Morales later slides his gun towards the officer after he was ordered. (Read the Full Story.)
Germany: Berlin police have arrested a man who drove his car into the gates of the office of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. A vehicle with the same license plates carried out a similar stunt in 2014. The Volkswagen Sedan, which sustained minor damage, had license plates from the North Rhine-Westphalia area of Lippe. The plates were identical to those belonging to the car involved in a similar incident in 2014 when a vehicle drove into the Chancellor's office with a message written on the side. There were no immediate reports of casualties, although rescue crews confirmed that the man who had been driving the car was being treated in an ambulance at the scene. The accident took place during a cabinet meeting in the run-up to a key video conference between Chancellor Merkel and German state premiers regarding extending lockdown measures across the country.
