British fashion brand Fred Perry released a statement on its website and social channels, announcing that the company would no longer be selling its $95 polo shirts with a gold and black laurel design to the United States and Canada. The reason: The shirt had been adapted as a uniform by far-right group the Proud Boys. “That association is something we must do our best to end,” the statement read, vowing not to make the shirt available in North America again until the Proud Boys ceased using the clothing line “to their own ends.” The laurel wreath logo on the Fred Perry polo is (unintentionally) similar to the yellow wreath used in some Nazi ceremonial flags.

Philadelphia Police: On 10-28-20 at approximately 9:12 am 14th District Police Officers responded to a convenience store located on the 6100 block of Germantown Avenue and located a male victim suffering a stab wound. The male victim, employee of the store, was assaulted by a male offender after a verbal dispute regarding theft of merchandise. Suspect Description: Black male in his 30 years-of-age, bald with a trimmed beard wearing a black long sleeve shirt, grey shorts, red and grey tights and black boots and carrying a Gucci shoulder bag. LOS ANGELES - Halloween will be extra spooky this year with a full moon set to close out the month. The second full moon of October is the Hunter’s Blue Moon and will appear on Oct. 31, Halloween night. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, such an event occurring on Halloween only happens every 18 to 19 years. Since it is the second full moon of the month, it takes on the name “Blue Moon.” It will not be blue in color as the name suggests. “Some folks believe that this full moon was called the Hunter’s Moon because it signaled the time to go hunting in preparation for winter,” the almanac noted. Typically, there are only 12 full moons in a given year, but 2020 will have 13 with two in the month of October. The first full moon of the month was the Harvest Moon, and it light up the sky on Oct. 1. The Hunter's Blue Moon will peak at 10:51 a.m. on Halloween morning and will appear full during the night as well. But enjoy the creepy full moon on Halloween while it lasts. The next full moon on Halloween will not happen until 2039.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a #shooting involving a Chattanooga police officer on Friday evening. It happened around 5:20 p.m. at a gas station in the area of N. Moore Road and Wilcox Boulevard. Chattanooga Police Chief David Roddy says an unidentified officer responded to a crash in the area when a male that was involved in the incident ran from the scene. Chief Roddy says the officer chased the male suspect on foot. Chief Roddy says the suspect ran to a gas station where he pulled a gun and fired at the officer. Chief Roddy says the officer returned fire and the male suspect was hit. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office identifies the suspect as 27-year-old Brandon Keith Davis. (Read the Full Story.)
