Scene Briefing: OIS #16 for 2020 -- Officers Fired Upon During a Call For Service 10/12/2020 #LVMPD

#LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Brett Zimmerman provides details to members of the media regarding Officer Involved #Shooting #16 for 2020. Officers responding to a call for service were fired upon by an unknown white male adult while assisting a citizen with an unserved Temporary Protective Order. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended later that day.

In Las Vegas. According to #LVMPD, there was a Road Rage incident that happened on Bonanza. 5 shots were fired a vehicle, but no one was injured. Metro’s CSI is Investigating. Bonanza will be closed until CSI gets done. Please avoid area to avoid traffic delays.

In Las Vegas. Happening right now, #LVMPD CSI are investigating a scene right in front Ogden LV. Metro told me they found a man laying down, so an ambulance picked him up and took him to hospital. Condition is unknown and Metro doesn’t know what happened to him.

#LVMPD officers were dispatched to assist two unresponsive juveniles at an apartment complex near Cambridge and Sierra Vista. Unfortunately, the juveniles were pronounced deceased on scene. Homicide has been requested. This is an ongoing investigation.
