Chicago police say someone apparently stole marijuana this week from one of the blue boxes placed at Midway Airport for travelers who need to dispose of their weed before they get on a plane, the Chicago Tribune reported. The"marijuana amnesty boxes" were placed there and at O’Hare International Airport earlier this month when it became legal to possess marijuana in Illinois. It’s not illegal to have it at the airports, but possessing marijuana is still illegal under federal law, and airspace is regulated by the federal government. The boxes give people a chance to get rid of their marijuana to ensure they’re not breaking federal law and won’t run into an issue when they land at their destination. #facepalm

(WARNING 21+) The #NYPD is released body cam from a police involved shooting that occurred on October 17, 2019 in the confines of the 52nd Precinct. On October 17, 2019 in the Bronx, at approximately 3 pm, three officers in uniform, in a marked police vehicle…
But police were able using their department smartphones, to determined that the driver of the vehicle Allan James Feliz, 31 of age had three open warrants, for disorderly conduct, littering and unlicensed driving. The officers then directed the man to exit the vehicle so he could be placed under arrest.
As the officers attempted to arrest him outside the vehicle, Feliz physically resisted and got back into the car.
While both front doors of the car were still open, Feliz initiated a violent struggle. The sergeant immediately deployed his taser for multiple cycles. While it appeared to be a successful deployment it failed to end the struggle.
During the struggle, Feliz shifted the car into drive, moving the car forward and backwards, with the sergeant still inside the vehicle.
When the car was put in reverse, the officer on the driver's side had to release his grip on the male and jump out of the way to avoid getting struck by the car. The driver's door then quickly closed.
This violent struggle between Feliz and the officers lasted approximately one and a half minutes before the shot was fired. At this time the sergeant fired one round from his service weapon striking Feliz in the chest. The officers then began to render aid.
Feliz was pronounced deceased at Saint Barnabas Hospital.
Feliz has felonies on his record, for burglary, robbery and marijuana possession.

Arizona driver caught in HOV lane with skeleton riding shotgun. Arizona state troopers patrolling a highway HOV lane weren’t fooled when they came across a vehicle occupied by a driver and a partially-clothed skeleton. The 62-year-old driver was pulled over Thursday on State Route 101 in Phoenix and issued a $400 ticket for illegal use of an HOV lane to bypass traffic. “The motor unit that pulled up next to the vehicle looked inside the vehicle and at that point pretty much realized that the passenger in the front row was actually a skeleton,” Trooper Martin Sotelo says. Arizona troopers cite about 7,000 HOV lane violators every year. Last April, a man was pulled over after driving in the HOV lane with a mannequin wearing a sweatshirt, baseball cap and sunglasses.☠️ #funny
⚠️ The US consulate is reaching out to all Americans registered as living in Wuhan - considered to be the epicenter of the deadly outbreak - to offer them a seat on a charter flight scheduled for Tuesday. The State Department released a statement late on Saturday which read: 'The Department of State is making arrangements to relocate its personnel stationed at the US Consulate General in Wuhan to the United States. 'We anticipate that there will be limited capacity to transport private US citizens on a reimbursable basis on a single flight leaving Wuhan Tianhe International Airport on January 28, 2020 and proceeding directly to San Francisco.' Since space is limited, the government says that 'priority will be given to individuals at greater risk from coronavirus.'
A third US case of #coronavirus has been confirmed in California, after diagnoses in Chicago and Washington - while Canada confirmed it's first case Saturday. More than 2,000 cases of the virus have been confirmed by several governments worldwide as at least 56 people - most of them in China - have died. Orange County Health Care Agency announced that a patient in California had tested positive for novel coronavirus. The agency said the patient had traveled from Wuhan and reached out to the health care agency prior to being diagnosed. They were given guidance to avoiding exposing the public to the virus while waiting for test results. Canada confirmed its first case Saturday, as a man in his 50s was quarantined in Toronto, while two cases other cases were previously confirmed in the United States - one in Chicago and another in Snohomish County, Washington. ☣️

Footage showed troops unloading supplies from the back of a jet in the city of 11million people to help contain the virus which has so far killed 56 in China, with more than 2,000 cases worldwide. China's health minister Ma Xiaowei said the country was entering a 'crucial stage' as 'it seems like the ability of the virus to spread is getting stronger.' Wuhan is building two makeshift hospitals with around 1,000 beds each to handle the influx of patients. Supplies being rushed to the city include 14,000 hazmat suits, 110,000 pairs of gloves and masks and goggles. Medical workers in the city have been among those infected and local media reported a doctor died on Saturday morning. The 62-year-old physician was hospitalised on January 18 and died a week later. ☣️ #coronavirus
