The two men fatally stabbed during a fight Saturday at 2:50 a.m. involving several persons outside the Dogwood Bar & Grill, 1907 Division Street, Nashville, are identified as Clayton Beathard, 22, and Paul Trapeni III, 21. The fatal stabbings appear to have resulted from an argument over a woman that began inside Dogwood Bar and then turned physical when the parties went outside, reported Breaking 911. Multiple persons were involved in the outdoor fight during which the two men were both fatally stabbed in their sides. Beathard, of Thompson Station, and Trapeni, of Franklin, were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they died. A third stabbing victim, a 21-year-old man, was treated and released. Midtown Hills Precinct detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man in the photo below who is being sought for questioning in the fatal stabbings. Fire crews have recovered one body as the recovery and investigation phases continue after three row houses were leveled by an explosion and fire in South Philadelphia. Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel says a second person remains missing and is presumed dead. Thiel says this is a delicate and dangerous process as they begin searching for victims. Three homes collapsed and two more were severely damaged and are in danger of collapse. When fire crews arrived on the scene Thursday, they spotted one person in the rubble. However, because of the growing fire and a second collapse, Thiel said crews were unable to rescue the person. Officials still haven’t said what caused the explosion, but people in the neighborhood reported smelling gas.💥🔥

The DEA and U.S. Coast Guard announced today a significant offload of drugs seized in international waters in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Agents with the DEA and the crew of the USCG Cutter Bertholf offloaded 18,000 pounds of cocaine – worth an estimated $312 million – at the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal in San Diego. DEA Principal Deputy Administrator Preston Grubbs, along with U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Linda Fagan, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California Robert Brewer, and Captain Brian Anderson, commanding officer of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf, made the announcement during a press conference at the offload site. The fight against drug cartels in the Eastern and Western Pacific requires unity of effort in all phases from detection, monitoring and interdictions, to criminal prosecutions by U.S. Attorney’s Offices in districts across the nation.

Two suspected shooters were detained for questioning, officials said. Police said one of the men was shot himself, and he remained hospitalized for treatment of his gunshot wound as of a 6 a.m. news conference. WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT! Today, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) is releasing video of a canine team taking a robbery suspect into custody. This video was released to a media outlet in fulfillment of a public disclosure request, and due to public interest in police accountability, we are also releasing the video publicly, as well as a clip edited for length. Although Chief Carmen Best found the actions of the canine team consistent with 2018 department training, Chief Best also believed the deployment was not consistent with SPD’s Use of Force policy nor the values of our department. In late 2018, Chief Best ordered a thorough review of how SPD uses canines. The department worked with the Office of Police Accountability, the court monitor, and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), as well as two independent canine training experts to develop meaningful policy recommendations. 🐶👮🏻♂️ #K9

British street artist Banksy has brought a somber Christmas spirit to a hotel he founded in the West Bank town of Bethlehem, with a nativity scene evoking the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Reuters reports. Dubbed “Scar of Bethlehem”, the display features a miniature Jesus, Mary and Joseph under a rendition of Israel’s concrete West Bank barrier punctured by bullet holes, the largest of which resembles a star over the manger. It is located in The Walled Off Hotel, which abuts the real barrier, and which the secretive Banksy opened in 2017. “Christmas (is) known (for) the Star of Bethlehem, that led people to the birthplace of Jesus,” said hotel manager Wisam Salsa. “You see there is a scar, there is a hole on the wall that marks the wall and the life in Bethlehem how it is today.”

(WARNING 21+) Long Beach police released on Friday some security and body camera video from a shooting at Bottoms Up Tavern on Oct. 23 that left two men dead, including the suspected attacker. Police said an officer was on patrol on Oct. 23 at about 12:20 a.m. near Bottom’s Up when people flagged him down saying a man in a Lakers jersey was inside the bar shooting. While there, the officer heard more shots from inside. Kinney arrived at the bar at about 9:05 p.m., according to police. Three hours later, he was standing inside near the bar just before 12:20 a.m. before he pulled out a gun and held it to a man’s head, the footage shows. The man pushed him away and Kinney shot multiple times at his head and shoulder area. The man fell down over a tall counter, sustaining a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper body, according to police... 🔫👮🏻♂️ #shooting
Witnesses said the bar was busy at the time with a birthday party and the Lakers game on earlier that night. After the first several shots, the video shows employees running through a door behind the bar and patrons ducking behind pool tables before making a run for the front door. The gunman then fired more shots, hitting and killing a bar-back, 44-year-old Manuel Marquez. Body-camera video then shows people outside pointing a police officer to the bar and describing the suspect to him. When the audio turns on, the officer is heard calling in the incident on his radio. Two shots are then heard coming from inside the bar. Within 10 seconds, the officer who was standing in the street looking into the front door of the building, pointed his gun through the door and shot at the suspect, who appeared to be standing behind a bar in a yellow shirt. Police said that the video showed the suspect pointing his gun towards more people in the bar. The body camera video is blurry, but surveillance video from inside shows Kinney behind the bar pointing a gun to his right. The video shows what appears to be one gunshot coming from a different person and Kinney responding with a shot before being hit by the police officer. Police previously said it appears a customer tried to intervene by shooting their own weapon at Kinney before police got to the scene, but the department did not include clear footage of that in the video released this week. After the shooting, Kinney’s wife Patricia said she had no idea why he would shoot anyone. A 30-year Disneyland employee, she knew him as “a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather.”

A viral video showing a confrontation between Seattle Police and protesters over the weekend is now under investigation by the Office of Police Accountability.
The Seattle Police Officer’s Guild has reviewed the video involving our officers handling a recent protest in downtown Seattle. The officers involved did a remarkable job in a very tense and difficult situation. The officers were dealing with a group of individuals who wear masks at protests to disguise their identities and have a long history of violent actions. The officers, who were understaffed, acted with courage, restraint and bravery while enforcing the law. The officer’s actions kept a volatile situation from getting out of hand and in so doing protected the public. SPOG is disappointed that the matter was referred to the Office of Police Accountability for review. The OPA is charged with investigating serious acts of misconduct. The officers involved in this incident did not engage in any misconduct whatsoever.👮🏻♂️
