Senator Lindsey Graham slammed the FBI for running an investigation against President Trump that became a 'criminal enterprise' in which they 'made stuff up' just like in 'the good old days of J. Edgar Hoover.' The Republican chairman of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee cited the Department of Justice inspector general report which was released on Monday. The report by IG Michael Horowitz cleared the FBI of having a political bias against Trump, but it did fault the bureau for using the infamous Steele dossier to justify surveillance warrants against Carter Page, who was an advisor on Trump's campaign. Graham added that the FBI’s investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election was ‘fundamentally flawed and unlawful'. He said in a statement on Monday night: ‘Let’s assume for a moment it (the investigation) started out ok...it sure as hell didn’t end okay,’ Graham said on Monday. The senator also said the Steele dossier was based on ‘rumor, speculation, hearsay, and bar talk.’
A Chilean military plane with 38 people aboard has gone missing and is presumed to have crashed after taking off from the country's south for a base in Antarctica. Seventeen of those on board the C-130 aircraft were crew and the others were passengers, Chile's Air Force said. The plane is considered to have crashed and 'all national and international air and maritime means available in the area are continuing the search in the sector where communications were lost with the aircraft,' it added in a statement Tuesday. The four-engine aircraft took off Monday at 4.55pm local time from an air base in Punta Arenas in Chile's far south - 1,860 miles from the capital of Santiago - and contact was lost at 6.13pm, a little over an hour after it took off.
Police and federal agents had been waiting inside the Atlantic Aviation hangar for 21-year-old rapper Juice Wrld's flight to arrive from Los Angeles at 1:30am yesterday morning, following suspicions the musician was in possession of contraband. Two arrests were made after officers began sifting through his and his entourage's suitcases. It was at this moment that the up and coming star - real name Jarad Higgins - began 'convulsing [and] going into a seizure', law enforcement sources said. An agent is then said to have administered Higgins two doses of Narcan, an emergency treatment used when an opioid overdose is suspected. Higgins was understood to have been conscious when he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn but was pronounced dead just an hour later.
A winter storm will dump up to three inches of snow and drop temperatures below freezing in New York by Wednesday, according to the latest weather forecasts. The storm is expected after a warm and wet start to the week, which forecasters say will likely set the stage for localized flooding through Tuesday, especially where heavy snow already was on the ground. After a rain storm in the region ends, a much weaker storm is expected to trail a cold front, slowing down the departure of moisture. And as colder air arrives, rain is expected to mix with and change to wet snow, reports AccuWeather. A 1,000-mile-corridor from Tennessee to Maine will be impacted going from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, AccuWeather reports. The rain may end for several hours in some areas before the snow starts. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 27 by Wednesday night.❄️
