Google is working on a top secret project to gather millions of Americans' health data across 21 states including lab tests and diagnoses - but patients and doctors have not been told about it. The Wall Street Journal first reported on Monday that the company has teamed up with Ascension, the second largest healthcare services company in the country, for a project that was being code-named Nightingale. Within hours of the Journal's report, the two companies announced the collaboration in a press release where they revealed that Ascension's data will move onto Google's Cloud platform. Google will now have access to patients' test results, diagnoses and hospitalizations to give them a full digital health history. #wtf?
A former St. Louis cop pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to assaulting a fellow officer who he thought was a demonstrator during a protest in 2017, according to the Department of Justice. Randy Hays, 32, faces one count of using unreasonable and excessive force against another St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) officer, St. Louis’ Fox 2 reported. Luther Hall, the officer said to have been mistaken for a demonstrator, was undercover during protests in downtown St. Louis over the acquittal of a former SLMPD officer, Jason Stockley, on a state murder charge, the DOJ said. Stockley was captured on a dashcam fatally shooting Anthony Lamar Smith. Stockley’s acquittal sparked weeks of protests, prompting the use of the SLMPD’s Civil Disobedience Team.

Horrifying photos have emerged showing a Popeyes worker making their in demand chicken sandwiches on top of a trash can. Pictures taken in a branch of the fast food chain in Fairfax, Virginia, on Friday show the burgers and buns resting on a tray right above the garbage bin. The restaurant owner told TMZ he has since ordered a new table to assemble the sandwiches. He claims had only been open a few days when the pictures were taken and was understaffed after a huge order for 100 of the meals came in. In the pictures the worker, who has not been identified, wears plastic gloves as they appear to spread relish on burger buns close to the chicken on the tray. #facepalm
