Happening Now: There's "Catastrophic destruction" and flooding across Archuleta County Colorado right now, and some people are still waiting to be rescued. It's a very scary, unprecedented situation according to the sheriff.

The sheriff described "wide-scale catastrophic destruction" across the county. Roads are washed out, homes are flooded, and some people are cut off from getting in or out of their neighborhoods. Archuleta County Manager Longinos Gonzalez Jr. said those people are safe for now, just isolated.

Our thoughts are with everyone in Pagosa Springs and across southwest Colorado waiting for help.🙏🏻

Lee County sheriff's deputies used a PIT maneuver to stop a truck fleeing a traffic stop, and the suspect's first request after climbing out of the overturned vehicle was a cigarette.

Loved ones and fellow law enforcement officials gathered to honor Clay Twp. Ohio Police Sergeant Jacob Roesler.

Jacob Roesler was a hunter, a fisherman and a dog dad in addition to his work as a police sergeant.

Clay Township Police Chief Jesse Martin spoke about his relationship with Roesler.
“I was proud to be your chief, but I was even more fortunate to be your friend,” Martin said. “Thank you for standing beside me and thank you for your loyalty. Thank you for all the laughs, all the adventures, and every memory we made together. Thank you for being the person you were.”

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻

Our beloved Compton Station Sergeant Alfonso “Al” Lopez passed away on October 24, 2016, after suffering a medical emergency while on duty. He proudly served the Department for 26 years. During his career, he worked in Court Services, at East Los Angeles Station, and in the Special Victims Bureau. He was later promoted to sergeant and assigned to Compton Station.

As we take a moment to remember the amazing partner, friend, and family man he was, we also reflect on the incredible work he did in the communities he served.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and partners today.

It is with great sadness that the Decatur Police Department shares the passing of Officer Rodney Olistin.

Officer Olistin served our community for 2 ½ years as a patrol officer.   His friendship, dedication, and service to our community will certainly leave a void. He was a colleague and friend to many, within our department and throughout Decatur.  He is survived by his fiancée and their two children. Please keep them, as well as our department, in your thoughts and prayers, and respect the family's privacy during this difficult time.

Rest Easy Brother. Prayers for his family of blue and blood.🙏🏻
