WE DON'T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS: Shalini Thakur had spent months documenting an alleged stalker, found an AirTag hidden under her car and obtained a restraining order. Authorities say he still chased her through a Sacramento parking lot and shot her to death.

Investigators say 22-year-old Rohit Rohit, an illegal immigrant from India who worked as a DoorDash delivery driver, had been stalking and harassing the 38-year-old woman for roughly a year.

Thakur documented tire tampering, unwanted entry into her home, threats and the tracking device hidden beneath her vehicle. She went to court and got the restraining order.

On September 8, police say Rohit confronted her outside a Panera Bread. Thakur ran, but authorities say he chased her through the parking lot, shot her repeatedly and then approached her again at close range.

DHS says Rohit was an Indian national who entered the United States illegally through Arizona in 2023 and was released.

As discussed during the dispatch call, radio traffic reports a BIA law enforcement officer was shot twice in the chest near Lone Mountain. Medical personnel were with the officer, and additional backup and a helicopter were requested while units were advised to proceed with caution because the suspect had not been seen.

NEW: Four Wisconsin police officers were injured Saturday morning as a suspect drove into a crowd of people.

Officers with the Green Bay Police Department responded to a disturbance at a food truck at about 2:15 a.m. local time Saturday and were attempting to take some people into custody when a car drove toward bystanders and officers, prompting one officer to open fire.

The suspect then fled, which led to a short police chase that ended when officers did a PIT maneuver, a tactical move used by police to stop drivers.

The driver was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis said at a subsequent news conference that the department didn’t know yet if the driver was connected to the disturbance near the food truck.

THE FAUCI-ERA ANIMAL TESTING MACHINE IS STILL ALIVE INSIDE NIH, and a new investigation shows just how much work RFK Jr. still has ahead of him to dismantle it.

White Coat Waste says it has identified more than $225 MILLION in NIH funding awarded, renewed, supplemented or extended for experiments involving dogs and cats since the new administration took office.

Some of these programs began years ago, but the money is still flowing through NIH to outside laboratories conducting experiments that include force-feeding drugs to beagles, invasive testing on cats and other procedures involving animals Americans consider family pets.

RFK Jr. and NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya have already started moving the agency in the opposite direction. NIH shut down its last in-house beagle lab, and the administration has committed more than $150 million toward modern human-based research alternatives.

That is progress.

But $225 million still flowing into dog and cat experiments shows how deeply this system was embedded.

BREAKING: At least 4 dead, 1 critically injured after stabbing incidents at nearby homes in Houma, Louisiana

PRELIMINARY NEWS RELEASE
September 12, 2026

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet confirms that the Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating an apparent series of stabbing incidents in the Ashland Drive area of Houma.

Deputies initially responded to the 200 block of Ashland Drive, where a juvenile suffering from apparent stab wounds was located. The juvenile was transported by Acadian Ambulance Service Air Med to an out-of-area hospital and remains in critical condition.

As the investigation continued, deputies discovered multiple deceased victims inside nearby homes. At least four victims have been pronounced deceased.

This investigation remains in its preliminary stages as detectives continue gathering evidence and developing information surrounding the incidents.
