NEW: Injured Ferguson officer to receive specially adapted home from Gary Sinise Foundation.

Nearly two years after suffering a traumatic brain injury in the line of duty, Ferguson Police Officer Travis “T.J.” Brown will receive a specially adapted home from the Gary Sinise Foundation.

The foundation had been in touch with the family ever since Brown, was first treated at St. Louis University Hospital, but the official word about a new home happened in recent days, with a phone call from the actor himself to the officer’s mother.
