NEW: Around 9:22 p.m. near Santa Clara Street and Almaden Boulevard, witnesses say a stabbing occurred, according to sanjose.tv.
When an SJPD officer arrived, one suspect reportedly ran while another allegedly stayed behind and fought with the officer.
Thankfully, the officer is okay. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.

Storms bring luck to whatever the occasion. They also make events a little bit more exciting! We will wait it out, I donβt care if itβs 2:00 OβClock in the morning, or in one hour from now. Looks like it is going to pass, they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the βwhatβ usually turns out to be a good thing. Itβs Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 OβClock for the speech. Who cares??? Remember two weeks ago when the big UFC Event was at 100% chance of heavy rain, all week long, and just minutes before the card started. Well, there wasnβt a single drop, and the fights turned out to be among the greatest in history, an event for the ages. Our great veterans, especially the old timers, many of whom are there, went through hellfire, and it didnβt stop them. Itβs not going to stop us either! Iβm not going to let some rain stop our 250th. The National Mall has quickly become a ghost town.
Salute to America guests were evacuated from the site as severe thunderstorms rolled into the area, with loudspeakers ordering everyone to leave, assisted by National Guards and Secret Service.
Bill Melugin says attendees were visibly frustrated as they were leaving, and there is currently no update on a reopening or when the event will resume.
